4 Star prospect according to Scout, they also list him as 6'7 rather than 6'6. However, there appears to be an insider article on scout saying Michigan is his clear favourite.

This is a Chicago kid, we need to defend our own backyard and sign him up.

Interesting. His coach said he was 6'6 and both of his parents cheer for ND according to ISD.

I'm hoping we land both him and his teammate. He's going to be a damned good OT I think at the college level.

Kid's a flatout stud!! Would love to keep the Chicago pipeline strong with the new staff.

Got to love those spread linemen, you can put them almost anywhere and they can adapt.

This kid is going to be one of the top OL prospects next year. He was one of the all stars at the army all american combine and he's now got offers from most of the Big 10.

This is the kind of kid that if he lived in Alabama he would never get out of the state and would be a Tide or Auburn lock. We need to ensure the same in our backyard.

Diamond's high school teammate, OL Chris Bryant, committed to Michigan. That should help the Wolverines in his recruitment.

Article on rivals states that he grew up a Michigan fan, sorry if this has already been established.

Would be very surprised if we land him.

Let us not write this one off yet. He might not like what he see's with the new scUM coaching staff.
Neither school has played a down yet, and he just might like what Kelly & Crew are offering more.

If there is anything we have learn this year in recruiting, it's that this staff is relentless. I am not ready to give up on any of these kids , especially if we have the season we all think we are going to have next year.

The kid has a pretty impressive offer list. I'm obviously biased, but with the state of UM, why would he go their over other Big Ten powers like Wisonsin, MSU, and Ohio St. (assuming the Blue and Gold doesn't appeal to him)

But then again, it seems college football teams can do pretty quick 180's these days if they get the right coach in there (see Stanford (Harbaugh), USC (Carrol), Alabama (Saban), and yes, Notre Dame (Kelly))

Let's hope this Hoke character stumbles out the gate with a 6-6, 5-7 type of season and pushes Michigan even farther into the depths of the Big Ten -- Indiana, Minnesota type of depths.

College football is much more interesting when the Irish and Wolverines are both doing well. With that aside, I did see the ESPN link and there is still plenty of time to sway, obviously.

If he has legit interest in Notre Dame, an early season win in Ann Arbor could go a long way. It's still way to early to be talking about giving up hope for any recruit. If he is interested in Michigan, that clearly means cold weather isn't an issue. Long way to go....

Took another trip to Ann Arbor last weekend and stated (Per ESPN):

"I learned a lot from this visit. It's a fun spot. I wouldn't say they're the leader, but I'd say they have the upper hand."

Also mentioned that he is planning on visiting OSU in the coming weeks.
