It appears Dallas’ trip to Florida helped solidify UT as his top school. Dallas said he asked several of the younger Florida players if they were happy with their decision to attend Florida. The reports weren’t positive.

They were just saying they aren’t happy and they don’t think Florida is the right place for them,” Dallas said.

Dallas took two unofficial trips to UT during the summer but hasn’t visited officially. He plans to do so in December.

Dallas said he didn’t need to visit UT again to decide he preferred the Vols over Florida.

“I had a good time down in Florida, but I couldn’t really enjoy myself,” he said. “All I could think about was Tennessee.”

I wonder how much of it is a team that has coasted the past few seasons finally hitting a roughspot.

They were talking about it this morning on the locat sportstalk here. They said one of the problems is they are so overloaded with talent, that the freshman on the dline are not seeing the field and this is were the problem is.

I saw this coming. They had an incredible haul the last few years along that Dline. The problem is that all of these kids have a sense of entitlement and they expect to play. You can only play so many players at one time..., and when you have that kind of talent, there is going to be a ton of competition for playing time.

According to Rivals:

They signed 3 5 Star and 3 4 Star Dline. Then C. Martin transferred. That is a lot of talent and someone is not going to be able to play.

I really don't have any sympathy for Florida..., Karma is a bi#ch! I remember the sick feeling having lost Trattou and Omar Hunter to Florida, then of course Martin when he left Notre Dame and eventually ended up in Florida.

Yah I guess it sucks to have depth. Sucks even more when you recruit selfish kids.

And of course, on ATH and PTI they'll talk about the new website FireCoachMeyer.com. A sample:

Gators have now lost three in a row for the first time since 1988 !!!

It’s worth noting, too, that the last time Florida lost to Mississippi St, the Gators’ head coach was fired. Ron Zook in 2004, enter the way for Urban Meyer’s hiring.

What is it going to take for the University, Almuni, and Fans to realize that the leadership of Urban is now bringing down the program.

2010 is just as we worried...and it all started with the Flip Flop from our coach.

Is a coach bigger than the University of Florida? Meyer looked so sympathetic when he resigned and his daughter basically outed him as an absent father. Then, within hours he decides to come back against the wishes of his very own family. UF needs to just move on. The team is facing it's largest rebuilding ever (New QB, New Assitant Coaches, etc) This emotional roller coaster is just starting. Urban is following basketball coach Billy Donovan in turning our mascot into a Flip Flop. Please join the conversation on our message boards...

Of course, the saddest part is that it's all driven by win-loss mania. If they suddenly tear off a winning streak for the rest of the season, this too shall pass.

It is kind of stupid. I would definitely take Florida's "down year" for a couple National Championships and a Heisman Trophy winner. Its all about perspective people. Can't win it all every year..

Personally, I do not get any pleasure from other teams' woes, except of course on game day when they are playing Notre Dame. That includes USC and Michigan.

I believe the kids are pissed, but I cannot believe there is a site that wants to fire Urban Meyer based on this season's performance. He just brought them two National Championships. These people are crazy. Now if the base of the site was to fire Urbie because of his conduct and the conduct of his players, that seems perfectly legitimate--but just because Florida is having a rough rebuilding year is not really a valid reason. It's virtually impossible to have the kind of dominance in today's game that teams of the past had.

In all fairness, we don't really know that it's a gators fan that made the website.

Yeah, but in a sense aren't we all crazy in this way to an extent? Wasn't it just a year after ND won the National Championship in '77 that so many Irish "fans" were calling for Dan Devine's scalp? I remember "Dump Devine" bumper stickers on about every other car around South Bend. Never could figure that one out. I mean, I can see how after awhile one can come to the conclusion that the guy we have is a flop (i.e., Faust, Davie, Willingham, Weis), but this other kind of craziness comes just come from delusional, spoiled rotten brat fans--at least IMHO.

When you giggle like a school girl, are you wearing that short pleated Catholic school girl skirt, with the shirt tied in front just above the belly? Um...what were we talking about?...

Oh yeah. I mentioned in another thread that I wondered if Meyer saw this coming and was the reason he "tried" to resign. I have heard it said that it is easier to build a champ team than it is to keep it that way.

In the words of the famous philosopher Harvey Dent from The Dark Knight: "You either die a hero, or you live long enough to become the villain."
