Demetrius Hart.... number 1 runningback in the 2011 class? REALLY? On whose account?
I look at this thread and wonder why a bunch of ND fans is obsessed with Michigan football. The conversation about RichRod is kind of like politics, everyone has a passionate opinion, and quotes facts to prove their point, but nothing changes. Good example. Talking about the great WV '07 defense: Look at the compiled wins of the teams they beat, and then to give up 21 right away to a South Florida team that ends up unranked? Rich Rod is a 66% coach, no more, with ethical shortcomings, (what would his percentage be without cutting the corners?) and I am tired about talking Michigan football. If I wanted to do that, I would go to a U of M site, because that is all that exists. (Oh and next to Alabama, they fabricate the most about National Championships.)
So funny because I was just reading something where Alabama claims the 1973 National Championship even though they finished 11-1 and we beat them head to head in the Sugar Bowl to finish 11-0. No wonder they have one of the worst state schools in the country... they have idiots in charge of it.
The poll has been the dominant national champion selector since the inception of the AP Poll in 1936. It is notable that the NFF merged with UPI from 1991 to 1992 and USA Today from 1993 to 1994 . . . For many years, the national champion of various polls were selected prior to the bowl games. The national champion was selected before bowl games as follows: AP (1936–1964 and 1966–1967), Coaches' Poll (1950–1973), FWAA (1954), and NFF (1959–1970). In all other latter-day polls, champions were selected after bowl games.
Michael Shaw, Vincent Smith.. 5 and 4 touchdowns on the season respectively with a total of 497 yards. Oh and it looks as if #1 runningback in the class of 2011 Demetrius Hart will be committing to Michigan friday. *Knock on wood*
Pos Rank: #9 Demetrius Hart...just sayin
Yea thats why I questioned where he got the information that Hart was the best runningback in this class?
Rivals has him as the number one APB but I do not believe that qualifies for best back overall in this class.

I went by the rivals ranking. You can bag all you want on rivals rankings and how they mean nothing because when the talent steps on the collegiate the field it's not the same, but that's mainly what everyone goes to for these recruiting class rankings.
Say Michigan gets Robinson, Hart with Smith, seniors Odoms and Stonum and a RS junior Roundtree out there on the field on offense... Gonna be scary good.
Going to have to be with your swiss cheese defense.
For what it's worth, losing that safety (Demar Dorsey?) with 4.2 speed absolutely screwed your defense even more than your best CB getting hurt. Having a playmaker with that kind of closing speed at safety would be absolutely huge to limiting big plays.
As I already said, according to rivals he is the number 1 all purpose back in this class. If you go to rivals and look under runningbacks, you will see the 10 best runningbacks in this class. Hart is by no means the best or the most highly sought after back in this class. However, I do agree with you that he would be a great addition for your class if you can beat out Auburn. He would fit your offense nicely.
Touted running back prospect Demetrius Hart might not be picking Michigan after all.
The Orlando Sentinel says the recruit is leaning toward Alabama and might not even wait until his scheduled news conference Friday to announce. Here's a snippet of the Sentinel's story:
Canceling at this point would mean the Crimson Tide have a new commitment to the class of 2011. Of course, there are still 117 days before Feb. 2, National Signing Day and commitments, at this point, are hardly binding for any prospect.
His decision puts Michigan a very close runner-up. He had already eliminated contenders Auburn and Arkansas on Monday. ...
Most people have considered Hart to be a heavy lean to Michigan, but this past weekend's visit, when the Crimson Tide crushed Florida 31-6 on Saturday night, looks to have been enough to put 'Bama on top.

Honestly, if you're a running back (or any skill position player) you have to be turned off on how the whole offense revolves around DR. Maybe when Gardner takes over it will be more balanced but right now there isn't a single offensive skill player who can showcase their skills in that offense.
"I feel I can come in and play right now in that offense with Denard, then it will be 'pick your poison,’ ”
it's not like they're not getting their chances, it's more they're not using them.
a quote from Hart:
Found this:
My brother it's been awhile but from the heart you ready to join me as we take the world.....[ Go ****]
So....
After getting stomped by MSU, does anyone want to consider the Rich Rod vs. Harbaugh argument? Your team has struggled against UMass, Indiana, a bad Notre Dame team without our quarterback and getting completely exposed by the first good team on your schedule; seriously hope people in Ann Arbor stay ignorant to the fact that hiring Harbaugh would have you as a dominant force in the Big Ten for years to come while Rich Rod is never going to get you over the hump.
I pray every day that UM is dumb enough not to hire their own Michigan Man (who has taken an absolutely pathetic Stanford team in three years to the elite of the PAC10 from the laughing stock) before he gets snatched up by the 49ers or any other NFL team that will be looking his way at the end of this season.
