He's a good QB, but not for the spread. He'd be lighting it up in CW's offense. With that said he has more yards in his 1st 4 games than any QB in ND history. Other QBs will run this offense better in the future, but I don't think that qualifies him as mediocre.
I tend to agree with that. But Jimmy was good as a freshman, although he spent half the season chasing bad snaps and running for his life. Nonetheless, he established himself as an accurate passer with great touch on the ball. And he played for the worst team in modern ND history. He was so good as a sophomore under an awful team, that members on this board started talking about him leaving early. Now, in what would have been his senior season, he is a pro starting QB. Crist is mediocre with a good team.
But enough of that. Time for Crist to prove me wrong.
