Here we go. This speech from "Any Given Sunday" is f'ing awesome. I'm jacked up - bring on the season. Here comes the pain train! WOOO
My small addition to all this: I just read my subscription to Blue&Gold and the analyst in there rated our passing offense vs their passing defense as "even". Uhhhhh...I must have been transported to a parallel universe. Floyd and Rudolph et al against a secondary which was one of the worst in the nation last year and lost the four they had? Even with the great monster end Kerrigan, this bunch still could not consistently defend the pass [or anything else, really]. The "analyst" [I'm beginning to have my doubts, now] only gave us a win on "intangibles" {Kelly; Home field; etc.}. If that guy's right about our pass offense vs a defense such as what Purdue seems to be fielding, I'm moving back to that other universe ASAP. P.S., everyone's impressed by Marve and the fact that he started for Miami. Maybe they should be. But my reading of the stats says he threw an interception every 16 attempts. Maybe all that poor decision-making has corrected itself; maybe not. Given that background [with a less-than-fifty-percent touchdown-to-interception ratio] I'd say that Purdue's question-marks at QB are at least as large as ours.
"No one, and I mean NO ONE, comes in to our house and pushes us around!"
would that be some actor who played some coach without a statue in some movie about some washed up, has-been school??
One more movie quote for our receivers and running backs.......
Our Lady of Blessed Acceleration, don't fail me now.
Diz
