yea love this. i like lesner too. the man is just bad. i'll take brown in te other fight.

I'll take Lytle. Brown hits with more power, but I hate his stance, and I think Lytle will eventually get the better of stand-up. On the ground, I think its no contest. Brown doesn't have great takedown defense and Lytle is a much better jitz player (unless, of course, Brown knocks Lytle down, gets top position, and GNP's him. In that case, everything I said about Lytle's advantage on the ground comes to naught.)

Lytle in the 2nd by sub. Just so you know, though, my MMA predictions have been awful for about the last six months. Smart money probably goes the other way.

He was scheduled to fight the Axe-Murderer (one of my faves) Wanderlei Silva before Silva broke his ribs training. So, that may give you an indication of what UFC thinks of his abilities. He's 16-1, and he came from Pride.

I wish it was against Silva, but Leben will make it entertaining.

Knew Leben would win

You definitely knew something I didn't, then. I wanted Leben to win, but fighting again after a two week layoff is a tall task and Akiyama is, as Joe Rogan would say, "no joke". Leben is interesting. I, like many who watched him, hated, hated, Hated him on TUF. Since then, he seems to have confronted some of his personal problems and grown up. Admittedly, he did get popped for steroids, but he seems to have turned a lot of things around in his life. Good for him and it was an excellent fight.

By the way, I also thought that this was a great event. It seems that the shows I'm not anticipating often surprise me with the best fights.

I am amazed the fight was not stopped. Brock got rocked. He showed life underneath but there was a few times he looked helpless. Carwin puched himself out and Brock set up the triangle perfectly. Great match.

Leben and Akiyama was a GREAT fight. That second round they wer toe to toe just wailing on each other. I had Akiyama winning the 1st and 3rd until leben made him tap in the last second. Easily the best match of the night

same here, carwin won that fight! They gave brock every chance to get back in it because he is their big name, but he got his ass kicked, the triangle to me was the easy way out of that fight. looked like brock knew he had no other chance of winning that fight. should have never went to the second round.

a win is a win! mma fan always complains about quick stoppages, then when a fighter they dont like gets the chance to work out of a bad situation then naturaly the fight should have been stopped. i heard stuff like this all weekend and i dont get it...he did what he had to do to win. i wasnt a fan of lesners before but i am now.

You cant tell me with a straight face that dana white didnt tell the ref to give lesnar every chance possible to stay in the fight.

yeah he won, but it didnt impress me, carwin impressed me more in the loss. you can't claim your the baddest sob on the planet and get rocked like that in the first round. Carwin will get his chance again.

Dana has a lot of his eggs in the lesnar basket, im sure they could survive their heavyweight champ losing but that doesnt mean they want too.

i just think these two guys are going to be fighting and it's going to go back and forth because neither is that much better and both are really god. just two different styles.

Yes carwin will be better next time but so will lesner...he hadnt fought in almost a year. even if lesner was given a little more time than most he is the champ right? if you are the champ you should be given that opportunity imo! in the end carwin didnt do enough to win, lesner was rocked but not knocked out and that apparently was what carwin had to do to win. to say lesner's win was cheap because it was by submission doesnt make any sense imo. submissions are part of the game right? i would like to see them fight again that we can agree on.

I agree with the statement above that the bout seemed rigged. They should have stopped that fight when Lesnar was getting the shit pounded out of him.... They have stopped fights for much lesser offenses.

That's why there is 5 rounds (Championship) If there would have been a stoppage fans would be pissed. (I know I would be) I was going for Carwin all the way. He just punched himself out.. he was tired..and couldn't even fight off that take down. Lesner defended himself the entire time on the ground even if he was disoriented and "out". He was defending himself. No ref will stop it as long as the downed fighter is covering up. nor should they..
