I just noticed on ISD that Lyndell Johnson is under the offered area. When did this happen? I thought he was under the prospect area still.

Johnson has a verbal offer, but grades are an issue right now. Hopefully will be straight be the end of summer.

You mean you think he will be our next commit? Maybe.

My new prediction on our commitments from now until the season starts, dependent some some recruits grades, are Daniels, Lynch, Johnson, and a QB (Starling or Worley, but we will still hold open a spot for Frazier).

Offer/Commit Update:

Notre Dame Football - Possible Offers and Best Bets to Commit

Two recruits that appear to be the best bets to commit to ND by early July should not surprise anyone. Both of the Dixie products do not hide their affinity for Notre Dame.

Ben Councell, OLB, 6-5, 220, Asheville, N.C., (Reynolds) -- It's rare to find linebackers with a knack for defending the pass. Councell's proficiency within that particular area makes him more than just an ordinary linebacker target. The height and wing span will also help Councell adapt to the college game. Councell plans to roam through North Carolina to visit a few schools before sojourning to Notre Dame this summer.

Aaron Lynch, DE, 6-6, 245, Cape Coral, Fla., (Island Coast) -- If Lynch inhabits the Notre Dame campus during the month of June, as he plans to do, that will likely be enough for him to conclude his recruitment. Perhaps Lynch will need further proof that Notre Dame should be his future alma mater, but do not expect him to drag his recruitment out past this summer.

Aaron Lynch is a top ten national DE, a potential difference maker and a complete stud who has talked up Notre Dame and seems to be a possible Notre Dame lock in the spring......

so....

considering our history with these "fanboyish locks at DE" over the past six years.........

I give it exactly zero chance at all he signs with Notre Dame when it is all sadi and done... yeah I'm serious.

This is the recurring, bastard stepchild, nightmare that is Notre Dame's D Line recruiting.

hey we are do!!!! the problem may end up being he may not want to play a DE in an odd front. at that point we tell him he can play rush end and see where it goes from there!

Lynch, Starling, and Bubba. And a ten+ more would be great.

Daniels and Lynch. I had high hopes for Lyons until I saw the first question on his list was about the weather during football season. In terms of our D-Line recruiting, I'm pretty pumped to see how much damage Nix will do

I just got a twitter update from ISDUpdate, but since I dont have a membership of theirs I couldnt read it. It apparently said something about how Kiehl Frazier is close to deciding.
Anyone have a membership that could tell what was mentioned in that article?
and are we still in the running for Frazier?

It's been reported all over that he'll be deciding within the next 2 to 3 weeks. ND is in his top 5. However, he has only been on campus once (for a game last year), and was supposed to make it back this June. Now, unless he still makes that trip (which doesn't look likely), ND is probably out of it realistically speaking. Looks like it's an Auburn-Arkansas battle, with most people thinking Auburn will win out...

I read Bubba's coming early June. Can anyone confirm the actual date of his 3rd visit to ND?

Is it a coincidence that on the same day that Frazier says he will announce his verbal in two weeks, Bubba announced that he will visit ND soon?
