I just remember Ragone speeding down the field passing Rudolph like he was standing still to tackle the CB on the blocked FG return to save a TD. He showed heart and speed I guess he just lacked judgement. Let's see what the NCAA has ready for those USC Fks.
Reggie Bush is a DB (not defensive back) and will hopefully set the school back with his greed and that of his family.

That was a great play. ND needs this guy for quality depth and expirience. Leniency needs to be shown for him as it is a first offense. Hopefully he turns his career around this season.

A very stupid decision when he is essentially getting payed to go to school and play football. I respect him for taking responsibility and maning up, but he deserves a suspension. What that is we'll see

Like legalizing it all together.

I guarantee more than half the team smokes refer, Ragone just happened to get caught with it. It sucks, but hopefully he isn't kicked out because of this. A couple game suspension should be in order, but knowing Res Life it might be stiffer than that.

Pretty much he may have jst cost himself alot of money. I am not talking about the chance to play in the NFL but notre dame grads have the second highest earnings average of any college in the country. Only MIT grads statistically make more. Part of me hopes they keep him and just suspend him for a couple games. The other part loves the fact that notre Dame holds itself to a higher level and doesn't put up with these things. Alot of peoplebdaybwe need to change things here and move into the 21st century but y should we in fact lower standards and except less out of our students. I'm torn on this issue. Either way I will understand and accept

...and think Ragone was poised for a big year. I want to see ND win and while I know this will never happen I wish they would just suspend him for the summer and let him play in the fall. Also just because he said the pot was his doesn't mean that was the case. Maybe he was covering for his girlfriend. Honestly, how Reslife can punish him without knowing for sure it was his. I say let the kid play.

I doubt this. I go to an NAIA school in Kansas and we have a pretty diverse campus, and as of right now there are maybe 5% of the team that does it. and I also have a friend that goes to a Ncaa division 2 school where he is tested almost weekly. I know you can pass tests like that but to continually do it will be pretty rare.

With 80% of America having tried marijuana, I would bet that 50% of the team smoking at some point during their playing career sounds like a fair bet.

probably not 50%, but i know for a fact that other players did this spring.

whether or not they will continue to do so, remains to be seen.

All lighthearted jokes aside this guy just screwed up his life and the team, whats the attraction to the weed? I never used so I guess I just dont get it. Its a damn shame that this would happen and what really hurts is that the media just slams it all over the country as if to say see-- Notre Dame -- see they arent any different. It just black marks everything. If only you could step back and think about what you are about to do. Dont give the haters a chance to point and hate on.

Let's not get overly dramatic about it. The kid screwed up, and it's a part of the public record now. It will follow him everywhere he goes. But he's also very young, and has plenty of opportunity to overcome it. For Christ's sake...........Bill Clinton admitted to using pot, and got elected President!! This is not a post for, or against, marijuana. I'm simply saying that this is a mistake that he can overcome. He hasn't screwed up his life, yet.

Smoking weed in your home is one thing. Smoking and then driving a car is another. One is victimless while the other has potential victims. That being said, I'm sure if he can get his act together, he'll be fine.
