According to Huffington Post Chad Ochocinco slamed Colin Cowherd by Twitter after the sportscaster insulted the Bengals receiver on air.
I heard Cowherd talking about pro football and basketball players going broke after there playing days. He was using Ochocinco as an example of someone that spends too much today and won't have a post sports career.
Chad replied with the following twitters:
Colin Coward with all the negative going on with athletes how do u find a way to lump me n yo show just say I don't like this black guy!!

I guess Colin won't be happy till I get a DUI, arrested, well hell maybe I should get accused of rape, maybe that'll make him STFU!!!!

@espn_colin its not my fault your girl is cheating on you, its your fault, try EXTENZE and stop worryin about me! Lmao-have a show bout that

@espn_colin you look like an extra from the movie LORD OF THE RINGS, get your lisp fixed before you do your next show !

all I can say is wow, talk about literally hitting below the belt.... I hope Cowherd can give Chad Johnson (I refuse to call him 8,5) some stiff competition on those tweets...right guys... anyone...anyone... (crickets) is this thing on>?

Chad Johnson is an idiot. Who didn't know that? This only reinforces the obvious.

85=overrated

Love Ocho, he is very entertaining to us bengals fans, plus he keeps his nose clean off the field.

On another note Cowherd is one of the worst sports personalities ever (almost as bad as Mark May)

whats wrong with Ochocinco? shows up every year, in shape and ready to play. as he said, he isnt getting arrested and racking up DUI's, or getting accused of rape or anything. He is on a team that is notorious for players getting arrested and having disciplinary problems, but he is never one of them. Unless you count excessive endzone celebrations as a disciplinary problem. A buddy of mine talks quite a bit with him thru twitter and has even played a few XBOX Live games with him. From what I know of Ochocinco, he is a down to earth 'everyday' kinda guy. I think he is good for cincy, and good for the NFL, even if they dont know it.

My problem with Chad Johnson is he is a 'me' guy. When he's not putting up numbers, even if the team is winning, he bitches about it (in the past...not this year). He does everything in his power to put the spotlight on himself. He's been known as a big-time complainer when things aren't going right, either on the field or with his money, to the point Carson Palmer has had to publicly scold him. He privately was threatening to sit out the 2008 season just because he felt Marvin Lewis and the team (who had to deal with all his distractions) didn't treat him right the year before. Then he stopped going to offseason workouts and practices. He even asked to be traded, and became an even bigger distraction. Finally his agent, the infamous a-hole Drew Rosenhaus said that he said he would play and he had planned on it all along. Riiiiggggghhhhht.

Even last year, he missed voluntary team workouts that every other member of the team showed up for. He always seems to be a distraction and a headache and a person in desperate need of attention and the limelight, thus overshadowing his obvious skills.

T.O. doesn't get in trouble with the law either, and I can't stand him as well. The both if them seek out the spotlight too much for my personal liking, and you throw in the fact that they both csuse their coaches and upper management tons of needless headaches makes me like them even less. I respect Chad's game (he went to Santa Monica JC in my necks of the woods) and don't blame people for liking him, but it's revisionist history to think that this guy doesn't cause problems for his own team...

Terrell Owens meeting with Cincinnati Bengals about joining WR corps - ESPN

How about T.O. and Ochocinco on the same team? How would you like to be Carson Palmer or Marvin Lewis? It could be entertaining to watch from a distance.

Cowherd is my favorite radio personality. He tells you he is a USC homer and talks ND all the time. His goal is ratings and he does not try to hide it. He has to be 100 or 0 on every topic b/c that is what sells. His point about Johnson is he wastes all of his money and will be broke 5 years out of football. Cowherd claims to have reliable sources to why he thinks this. I guess we will see once CJ retires.

Not a fan of 85 but he does keep out of trouble off the field yet still gets lumped in with guys like Pacman.

I'm with you with Cowherd. I know most people claim to hate him and I can see why, but I really like his show personally. Like you said, he tells you what he's after (ratings) and makes no bones about it.

As for players going broke, Bill Simmons aludes to this all the time. He tells his readers that there are tons of athletes who (shockingly/amazingly) live paycheck-to-paycheck because of their extravagant and reckless spending habits. So it wouldn't surpise me at all if a guy like Chad is broke in 5 years. Not saying it'll be true in his case, just saying that this type of stuff seems to happen all the time with these guys who have no clue how to manage their money...

personally I'm so fed up with ESPN's take on the sports world that CC perfectly displays... completely bash anything and everything when and while you can ... and if you can't because the team, player or coach are doing well then randomly label them the greatest ever until next month some other team, player or coach becomes the hot ticket, then THEY are the greatest ever and last months topic is completely washed up garbage... "0 or 100" is right... it's totally see through, it's old (at least to me) and often insulting to one's intelligence... I no longer watch sports center, or any other ESPN programing other than actual game prodcasts mainly because of the Colin Cowherd types that now are the majority there.... and five six years ago I was all about these PTI/Herd type shows

I've met a lot of famous people in my short 23 year life span. Chad is by far the coolest one I've met. I met him at a local mall twice and he was nothing but cool. He bought everyone at the store he was signing autographs for a video game or whatever they wanted a long with a pair of shoes. After he was done he actually walked around the mall handing out 100 dollar bills to kids. Pretty cool of him. Stays out of trouble, always in the best shape you can be in. Very entertaining, I don't know how anyone can see he will be broke after football. I'm sure he will have plenty of opportunities to make money down the line. I know a lot of people don't like him but the second coolest guy I've met actually might be nicer than Chad was Bill Belichick. Actually have a very good story about him if any one is interested.

I would huge fan.

Alright I believe it was either in 1998, or 1999. I know it was around the same time Belichick was handed the job of the Jets by Parcells and decided to take the New England job instead. Anyway Bill was in town scouting a couple players or something like that. My dad's good friend is a sports agent and had players such as Hugh Douglas at one point. So anyway there were some players there I met some older guys such as Tim Krumrie, who as a Bengals fan I must say was the biggest a hole. Oh well I would be to if I broke my leg in the Superbowl. Anyways I don't want to go on and on but I ended up meeting Bill there. After the players were done working out we I believe were staying at the Mariott. As a little shit that I was I brought my game tapes from my 3rd grade football season. So Bill actually ended up watching my game tape with me. I not to brag but back then dominated averaged 3 touchdowns a game. Anyways Bill actually sat in there and watched these tapes with me. He actually got mad at the workers because he couldn't rewind the VCR, so he was complaining about the remote control. I know for several years after that he always asked my dad's friend where the fast blonde haired kid is, and how he was doing. I think that's extremely cool of him. He took time out of his I'm sure busy life to watch video tapes of a 4th grader. I honestly I could remember more vividly what he said to me but I struggle to at this point. Back then I really probably didn't think much of it.

Today was a perfect example of why I don't like Colin Cowherd. The man is a human windsock. A couple of days ago he was telling everybody in New York to hope for a Celtics win over Cleveland. He said that his source told him that if the Cavaliers lost that James was gone. And Cowherd kept beating that drum.
Now today he tells everyone in New York to slow down. He says how much LeBron is a loyal guy and will stay in Cleveland.
You want to be a controversial host? Fine, be one. But he never sticks with his view.

The reason Cowherd is successful is because nobody is supposed to remember information like that. When one thing is said then the average listener would completely forget but someone like say me would pick up on his bs right away. I personally don't like him and think hes a moron.
