Supporters - AlbuquerqueIrishFan, IrishinTN, NDboy15 and HereComeTheIrish

2. Carlo Calabrese - LB(2)
Supporters - IrishinTN (voted on two players) and hughesnd22

3. Marlon Brown - WR(2)
Supporters - rockne19 and BDIrish4ever

4. Chris Watt - OL(1)
Supporter - ND=NC

5. Jelani Jenkins - LB(1)
Supporter - notredomer23

6. RayRay Armstrong - S(1)
Supporter - dulac

7. Allen Bridgford - QB(1)
Supporter - NDsuperfan09

8. Jamarkus McFarland - DT(1)
Supporter - ACamp1900

9. Dustin Hopkins - K(1)
Supporter - ndlb41

Remember this thread is devoted to an uncommitted recruit who you would love to see be Irish. I would love to see any of the already named players commit to the Irish (including the kicker).

I don't know if the "emergency lineman" thing will really work at the D-I level, but I love LaLota's skills as a DE.

I don't see us worrying about using him on O- just the DE slot. He has skills and potential to be great there.

I agree- he is versitile and a quality player. I just think he will be too valuable on the d-line the day he gets here vs O-line. JMO

very much so. as a de he will be much better for us than as an ot. but with versatility and experience playing it he is even more valuable. emergency situation only. injuries happen and who knows what (god forbid) happens if it does. the redskins were down to thier 3rd string rg and rt and thier second string center last year. freak injuries but still

My choice is Nick Kasa...but, when a kid says "I love Florida", I think he's committed. But how in the world does he equate academics as a priority with Florida. He needs to check their graduation rate..even with all the sports (blank) degrees they issue and he might want to check the number of players disciplined in the last couple of years.

I gotta go with Shaq Evans, he's got a great mix of size and speed and would form a lethal combo with Kamara, Floyd, and Walker...just imagine that WR corps...my god.

I also gotta mention Manti Teo...sp? He is a monster of a LB..He's got great size and strength and is just what we need...a true beast of a ILB who can go sideline 2 sideline. Reminds me of a Rey Maluaga minus the bar fights hopefully!!

I believe both his parents graduated from Florida, so I don't think anyone would convince him that they don't offer a good education. And the fact is, they do offer a top education. But you're right, they don't necessarily mix the two when it comes to all the football players. But if he's motivated to push himself academically at Florida, he would graduate.

Congrats to Calabrese and IrishinTN! Carlo gets into a quality university and IrishinTN gets his dream recruit (not that all the rest of us are not thrilled too!). IrishinTN can now select again.

I had to switch when Shrive went another way. LaLota would be great and it would continue the floodgates from Jersey.

But I still want to see an O lineman sign- Nixon, Watt, Bullard or Lowe.

yeah i think i agree with ya grizz. i love seeing our d get better and better but i would like to see some kind of foundation built for the o line. like a quality left tackle. i think that would be my preferred position. is a top level left tackle. and or a great pash rushing de or a man child d tackle. im greedy but ehh what can ya do

Agreed guys, Nixon is our biggest need in this class. We need a true tackle who can dominate. I wouldn't be suprised if he is a 5 star when all is said and done. Nixon is a must get for this class.

we have quality at the guards with bug trev and i have a feeling they are gonna try to move golic to guard since we will have a beast center moving in with this freshman class. but i still see a hole at tackle.

We better hope Nixon's dad comes across W.eis in the desert. That would really give us an edge. I would also like to see an offer go out to Pat Ward when Charlie gets back

Maybe that was his real motive for going over there... (My contribution to the conspiracy theorist that need new material.).
