just looked it up, hes not even the starter?
Yeah, he's had a tough go of it, here's the stats through 7 games:http://www.pasadena.edu/athletics/football/TEAMCUME_024.HTMKinda in a hurry, and I don't have the stats in front of me, but when he's been in there he has not played well at all. It's been pretty ugly...
18 of 61?????? WOW.
Haven't seen any of the games, but the stats are not good.
If he had a different last name he wouldn't ave gotten that many pass attempts. The starter is tthrowing for about 70% completions. I don't think missing out on his brother is any great loss. I'll be surprised if he gets much play at UW.
I believe Nate didn't start playing till his Jr. year at Mater Dei.
His brothers pretty good, he had a very impressive offer list and was an Elite 11 invite I believe. QB gene seems to have skipped over Nate somehow, but kid seems to love the school so he'll be back just to be a part of ND football I'm guessing.
as OCIrish pointed out, Nate did not play all throughout HS. He actually stopped playing his Junior year (as opposed to first started playing his Jr year) to focus on basketball, but then came back in his Senior year.
but, it was not Mater Dei, it was La Salle. And La Salle is a heavy focus running offense, not a pocket passing offense. That is why Nick transfered to Oaks instead of continuing with La Salle. I believe this is discussed in more detail in Nate and Nick's recruiting profile threads.
It may be that Nick has the better skill, but (Nate) taking that year off his Junior year probably didn't help his progression, nor did not playing his senior year because he was at a school that could not use his pocket passing skill.
He should have never left Notre Dame. I'd rather sit at ND, than play back up at some JUCO. Jeez, just to wear the blue an gold and run out on the field....awesome. Plus a diploma from ND, jackpot!!

hes coming back after this season supposedly
Here, HereEven if he never plays, I am glad he is coming back. Always good to have a Montana at ND.
Joe Montana just told the Dan Patrick that Nate was on his way back to South Bend, so he'll obviously be here for the Spring Game.
It's obvious that he's not a very good QB, judging from his Pasadena stats, but I'm glad to hear that he's sticking to his committment, and that he'll get a quality education. And he'll get some quality reps during the spring practices as well, with Dayne possibly hurting and Rees still in the air.
Glad to have him back, although I do lose a little respect for him, considering he's leaving this brutal Socal winter (it rained 2 days in a row people!!!) to go to the luxury of a South Bend winter. Toughen up Montana!
You never know, kellys system has a knack for turning average qbs into heisman contenders.
Hopefully the Browns are keeping an eye on this one. 18 of 61 is the kinda numbers that Mangini likes, ala Anderson.
Could be. But he wasn't average at Pasadena.
he also wasnt starting, and probably never will but who knows? i dont really want to find out cuz that would mean crist is hurt

Actually it would mean that Crist, Hendrix, Rees, and John Goodman were injured ...
and Banks and McCarthy.
and me.
Thought you were out of eligibilty, mick. Sorry for the oversight.
