I have to say i love the way he made his interview about his team and staff, not about what the future may be. Show a bit of selflessness. No matter how many times or ways they asked him he didnt want to make it about what may be, but what was/is.

I think that was a great chance to shout out that ND is where he will be with a presence. I don't like the fact he said et the facts from ND. Let the kids know that nd is getting the coach of the year!

While it would have been great for him to flash a nd jersey or hat on the downlow, i think it would have been disrepectfull to is current staff,school,players. He won the award for coaching at Cincy, not for what he may or may not be doin next year.

I was encouraged to hear that his 2009 team had 10 new starters on defense.

Okay, I hope some of you are joking (at the top of the thread, not the posts closest to me). He just received the coach of the year award for his work at Cincinnati - of course he is not going to comment on the ND position right now. I thought he did a really nice job, and I was so happy that he gave us that sly, deceptive, thousand word smile to let us know what was really on his mind. I feel like he could hardly contain his excitement. Can't wait! Wasn't a huge supporter of him at the beginning of the search, but I am now due, mostly, to his leadership ability. So excited!!! GO Irish! Go Kelly!

why isn't he coaching them in the sugar bowl? Personally I want him too... it be cool to see him finish his era at Cincy with a win over the Gators and Tebow.

I thought that was PURE class. I love Brian Kelly. I have like him since I started watching GVSU when he took over the program in 93.

If you're an ND fan you don't want him coaching in the Sugar Bowl. He needs to focus all of his energy into recruiting, finding a great staff, and getting to know his current players. If he stays on with Cinci this whole month he'll start off waayyyy late on ND things that are crucial for him to take care of at this point. Remember, CW stayed loyal to his NE commitments while also doing ND stuff, and that did not help him achieve everything he needed to achieve his first couple months...
