At least give him a chance - how many time did Herby and whats-his-name say "that can't be overturned..." and lo and behold. Indisputable now means - I like something my way?

This is a massive black eye for the Big East and if their commissioner doesn't make a move than he's screwed. This is going to be all over national television and there's no denying what took place.

I imagine that the game crew was told to give questionable calls to Pitt but these calls weren't questionable. Baldwin's "catch" was no more a catch than the one they reviewed on Parris.

This was an atrocity....... If these officials aren't penalized for their fucking bull shit calls I will have lost all faith in the NCAA for monitoring the "SYSTEM"....

Notre Dame definitely got screwed on several calls but they only scored 3 points in 3 quarters. They lost this game as much as the officials screwed them.

There will be no national outcry - like Lou always says - No sense bitching about it... 1/2 don't care and the other half are happy you got screwed.

The sad thing is, we've seen this BS reffing all season long in each conference. Exactly like someone else said, just the officials proctecting there big team in the conference. I still can't believe what i've seen. How do you overturn a call like that? His arm was going forward and the ball went forward with it. It was called an incomplete pass but no, the replay booth saw enough to overturn it.

You can blame it on bad calls all you want but once again this team put itself in that position by not playing 4 quarters. Defense really stepped up this week & gave the offense every chance to put points on the board in the 1st half & they failed once again to do so. By the 2nd half they were absolutely exhausted from being on the field way to much & it started to show via missed tackles & blown coverage.

You simply cannot expect to win every game playing only 1 quarter. Digging a massive hole for 3 quarters then trying to dig out in 1 is ludicrous. Granted they are good at it (prob better than anyone) but some hills are simply to big to climb. The trick is not to get there in the 1st place & Charlie Wises play calling is what puts them there.

I just went back and watched all the calls from the game. The only good review was Tate staying inbounds.

We got fucking jabbed.

Do you think the Big East officials have been screwing us because ND won't join their conference in football?

Nope. It's all about the Bowl Money.

I said that in another post, that all the conferences are protecting their best teams for the bowl money, but in this post I was referring to the Big East replay officials screwing us in more than one game, even against non-Big East teams.

Week in, week out, we have chances to win. You do not blow everything up and start over if you have a chance to win each and every game you play.

I donno still. The team should have come out very high because of this last week but they looked bad the first three quarters. The defense stepped up in the first half but our strength, the offense, was abysmal in the first three quarters. While the officials blew plenty of calls, Notre Dame played poorly for 3/4 of the game. I think the way they came out and played is a reflection of coaching. If Weis can win out I still think he should get one more year.

c'mon guys. wasnt it going to be 4th and long anyway with a long way to go? you act like it is an absolute that the call reversal lost ND the game. did it cost nd the chance. sure, if it was an incomplete pass, but it was a fumble. sorry, but yes ive replayed this thing in 1/16 time 20 times. the ball is loose before his arm starts forward. that is a fumble. im a WV fan, so i hate Pitt, but they beat ND tonight.

It's not whether or not the Irish would've made the 4th and long, it's the fact that the refs just blew the call. The call on the field was an incomplete pass so there had to have been enough evidence to overturn it. Jimmy's arm was going forward when the ball was coming out plus the ball went forward as well. I agree it was close but the call on the field was an incomplete pass and it shouldn't have been overturned. If this was WVU you would be just as mad as we are right now.

The reason why he propelled the ball forward was because his hand hit it after it came out. Don't worry. It was a fumble.

a loose ball can be propelled forward, which is what happened. yep, it was close, but i still think the refs got it right. indisputable evidence? if you watch it in 1/16 speed, absolutely yes. by the standards of the ncaa rules, that is apparantly disputable.

still, ND is at fault for being down 27-9 and coming out flat. again. coaching.
