Figured i would post this because right now most people are arguing over the loss and keeping or firing weis.

Another ND player, this time our probable All American TE and future NFL TE Kyle Rudolph went down. Likely a rotator cuff or collar bone just going off of game film.

Anyone got an update, feel free to post.

First thing I thought was "Just what we need, another broken collarbone." Basing that on nothing but the way he was holding his shoulder. Hope he is okay though.

Atleast we're deep at that position. J/K we might have an OL playing TE next week.

In the press conference Charlie said that the trainers said he was done for the day, but would be ready for next week. Just need to wait and see.

Umm we still have Jake Golic hahaha.

I hope Rudolph can play, but I don't want him to play if he isn't ready. As much as I love ND football, I don't want to ruin a kid's career either

That landing definitely like a separated shoulder, or clavicle....lets hope for the separation.

WSBT said that it was not a broken collarbone. Thats all they said this morning. So that's good.

Q. As far as injuries, how is Kyle (Rudolph) doing?
COACH WEIS: Don't have anything yet because I'm meeting with (the doctors) at 1:30. The only thing I did know on Rudy is they were afraid he broke his collarbone as I said last night, they x-rayed him and that came back negative. He went out and walked out of the locker room with a sling, but I don't know what the status of that is yet. Other than that, I don't know of anyone that had any form of injury worth really noting.

There is a rumor that he has a seperated shoulder and could miss a couple of weeks but now wordfrom Weis yet.

Why does itseem that everything that can go wrong has this year.

Michael Floyd - Brokan collarbone
Jimmy Clausen- Turf toe
Armando Allen- Ankle
Trevor Roninson- Ankle
James Aldridge- alot of stuff
Bobby Burger- Neck
Tyler Eifert- Back
Dayne Crist- Knee
and now Kyle Rudolph is hurt

It's Ragone's time to step up. It's blocking that I worry about.

I also heard Rudy was out until Stanford at least. I like Ragone. He plays with a lot of passion. Anyone remember the roughing penalty his freshman year against State Penn. He plays with fire. He has earned his chance.

He also wont have as much attention focused on him as Rudolph did.

Earned his chance? He's played all season. Besides who else is there?

Not to mention he has catches in two consecutive games. Good for him. He looked pretty good running the same route Kyle did for some big yards. I kept waiting for them to run it again but never did. Its like waiting for Navy to toss the ball, they lull you to sleep and then hit you with a 5lb sledge hammer.

Bad Coaching!

Tend to agree with this as the general rule is that the better conditioned you are the less chance you have of being injured. Notice that most of the injuries, however are on the offensive side of the ball. Our offense, despite some costly turnovers and stupid penalties (coaching) has been pretty good. Most of the complaints are against our shoddy defense, which has kept pretty injury free. Maybe if they made some contact. . . . . No, I won't go there.

Duval Kamara

Duval Kamara

How about Duval Kamara at small tight end? Shannon sharp was a good small tight end. Ragone looked good the couple of time he was thrown to (except for putting the ball on the field). Kamara is a decent blocker and could eat more for a couple of weeks.
