06 Adrian Peterson missed the whole season because of that injury...That was Oct 16, 2006 and the season ended the end of November, so for what it's worth at least 6 weeks, probably way more.

Adrian did play in the bowl game that season I believe.

i refreshed the page 5 times waiting for the thread to start. Horrible news. but i think it may only be a 4-6 week injury. Hopefully. i broke mine once. its tough to move. but once you start to feel good you improve pretty fast. I did at least.

I think it may help in the long run. I felt Clausen got Floyd-happy, but why wouldnt you when he cached everything? then man is straight beast but tate needs some looks too.

We shall see.

FWIW I suffered same injury, doctor said 3-4 weeks. After 2 weeks I could reach everywhere except behind me. different position then QB and RB where they take a beating. I pray and hope he will be good for USC

This team is often compared to the 2005 team. McKnight got hurt, and Samardzija literally came out of nowhere to become a stud. I don't think anyone can match Floyd but hopefully one of the younger guys (Shaq, Walker, Goodman) can push Kamara/Parris.

We still have Tate, Rudolph, Allen and a great o-line. Not to mention Jimmy playingh lights out.

that's my hope, but losing floyd is not the end of the world. as mentioned in another thread, it's manageable.

The first pass thrown his way this season? It was either a bad route (most likely) or read by Clausen, since he wasn't in position to catch it. But give up on him? Yeah, glad you aren't the coach.

Can we replace Michael Floyd's production? No.

But there is still an abundance of offensive weapons on the squad. Don't look now but Armando Allen is a 100 yard-a-week every week running back. Kyle Rudolph's talent and abilities get harder to mask every week--and there aren't many linebackers who can hang with him and there are no corners strong enough to cover him. Do I even need to say anything about Golden Tate....I think not.

SO offensively we'll be more than okay--which is not to say that losing one of the top five receivers in CFB doesn't hurt. But the real area of concern, which Floyd has no impact on, is the defense!!
