Donovan Warren will be covering Michael Floyd. Michael Floyd is a very tough challenge for any defensive back, specifically one who is three inches shorter and almost forty pounds lighter than him. If Floyd is in one-on-one coverage with a chance to make a big play, Clausen will not hesitate to throw the ball to him.
Brandon Graham. The best player on defense, possibly on the entire team, that Michigan has. How will Notre Dame stop him? Last week, Notre Dame squared off against two excellent defensive ends, Basped and Moch. To contain them, early on in the contest the Irish ran four or five plays in a row to Basped's side of the field. A frustrated Basped struggled to get to Clausen all game.
Western may not have had yards after the catch. That doesn't mean a thing. Watching replays of your game, Western's biggest receiver could not have been bigger than 200 pounds. When you have Golden Tate's open field ability and Michael Floyd's strength, expect to see some broken tackles.
Cissoko will be covering Tate. Tate has the advantage of size here, as well, being two inches taller and twenty pounds heavier. I've heard that BooBoo runs a 4.4, but so does Golden Tate, and so did Morgan Trent...who Tate torched last season.
Why do I keep mentioning weight difference in those matchups? Because if they collide in mid-air going for a jump ball, the Notre Dame receivers will have an advantage.
