“I thought it was great honestly,” Jackson said of the trip. He also saw Michigan State and Northwestern while he was in the Midwest. “It was nice. The facilities were great. The buildings are extremely nice. It was just nice. It was great.

“I expected it to be really nice, but it definitely had a better impact when I saw it.”

ND is recruiting him as a punt/kick returner and slot receiver according to his conversation with Charlie. Verducci (NJ) is his recruiter.

Jackson had a KOR TD, a pair of PR TDs, 5 rushing TDs, and 4 through the air. He averaged 22.4 ypc, 36c for 806yd.

I'm curious why only 4 receiving TDs on 36 grabs when terrorizing DBs for 22.4 ypc. Did he have to wait on the ball frequently giving DBs time to catch up?

Wants to commit before his senior season.

While Dan Smith is only a 3*, I think he'll be better than that in college. His brother-in-law is Gerome Sapp, so I can only imagine that he's learning things already from not only him, but since he lives in the Bend, he'll be getting tips and help from guys from and around the team, again, he's only a 3*, but I'm very excited about him.

I believe the coaches wanted 3 WR in this class. They got their slot guy with Jackson, The red zone target in Smith, now we go after the elite in Prater, McCay, Woods, and Cooper.

really excited about this guy. Once rivals reranks the players the only 3 star guy we should have is Smith, unless they see what Scout sees. I know stars dont matter but its nice to see our players getting the pub they deserve

Two month courtship. Offer in early April, ND visit late May, verbal early June. Jackson picked ND over offers from MSU RU BC UMD UNC PIT CON IOW MIN NW SYR WVU.

I kind of knew I was going to Notre Dame for a few weeks now. I'd kind of come to the decision that I was going to go there. I pretty much liked everything about it. There are no negatives I can think of, that's definitely a bonus. I just felt comfortable when I was there. The best thing might be the nice campus and I love that they have really good academics. The academics there will put me in a good position. They have a good football team too and there are a few Jersey guys on the coaching staff, so that was a bonus. There were a lot of things that I liked about it. ... I just felt a lot more comfortable at Notre Dame. ... They're looking at me as a slot receiver who can work on the inside.

Official Visit set for the MSU game, 9/19.

A dual threat Jackson had 35 catches/509y/3TD and 35 carries/257y/4TD.

Rivals 3 Star, #57 WR, 5.7 Rating

With Daniel Smith already on board ND appears to have only 1 vacancy left for receiver. Could get interesting as Jerrell Priester is supposed to visit ND on 6/26 and there's still some prime time talent considering joining the ND receiving corps.

I’m going to Notre Dame. They were the best of both worlds. I have to look out for my life after college and it’s a great degree. I loved it out there and got along with all the coaches and players.

My mom is really excited. She picked a school and I picked a school. We both picked Notre Dame.

I kind of just sat down with my mom. We talked about which schools she liked, and what I liked, and I guess the life after college, and we both came to the conclusion that Notre Dame was the best fit. I didn't have any negatives when I went there, and I had some negatives at some of the other schools I visited, and I liked Notre Dame a lot and I just felt comfortable there.

A return specialist Jackson also returned 2 punts for TDs as well as a KO.

ESPN has not evaluated Jackson as of yet.
