It's a bird commonly found in the North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana and Idaho areas. Known for their wit in out-thinking hunters and vicious ground squirrels, they commonly can be seen flying with one wing tipped to the sky...the locals say that it's a salute to the heavens and those that have come before us. They're also known for their abnormally large bowel movements.

Predictions are a great way to bring in the new season. As I head into my season I'm always looking at how we can beat teams, not how we will lose to them. Things go well for you here and there and your set. With ND I'm no different, if you choose to look at the ways that we might can exploit our opponents weaknesses then we obvouisly have a chance against everyone. A lot of times I feel that some may be in awe of some of the teams on our schedule. Some may think that we can't beat some of our opponents no matter how we play. It's not always about how good they are, its how good we can be the day we play them. We all realize that any given day anyone could win. I just choose to believe that are days to win come on saturdays this fall. I like it GD93, and you know what? The worst thing that can happen is you may be wrong. I believe there are worse things that can happen.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and predict 3-4 National Championships in the next 8-9 years. And, A couple Heisman Trophies to go with them.

I have ND winning 7 national championships in the next 4 years, with 7 Heismans.

BTW, we went 3-9 for a reason last year. 8-4 this year, 10-2 next year would be phenominal and have us on the right track...

Finally a voice of reason...lol. I honestly think 9 wins is what we get, 10 with a bowl, but seriously, 11 regular season games? we were 3-9. I can think of maybe 4-5 reasons why we can go 12-1 this year, but I can think of about 10-15 why we wont

In reality, I'm optomistic, but I can't see us winning 11 games this year. I can, however, see us competing for the National Championship on a yearly basis in a few years. The talent and depth we have lined up (barring injury) is too good not to be optimistic.

So I stand by my 3-4 NCs in the next 8-9 years. OK, maybe only 2-3 but I'm not getting any more negative than that.

it sure does suck that us domers have to wait an extra week to get this season underway, how many of you will be watchin the canes game thurs and the other games saturday just to get a taste of some college ball?
