Did any of those guys ever break one for over 90? They would get chased down.
MJD had 3 80+ yard plays in college and did make AA teams twice as a KR and AP player. Don't think he was worried about getting run down because I recall him running around 4.38 at the combine.

Tempted but I just don't think he gets many carries...maybe 8 so I will go under.

Denbrock is going to go with experience and the better pass protecting RBs in this game. Get prepared to be disappointed if you think he's getting a bunch of touches.

Denbrock will do what's already done. He's going to throw 3 fresh running backs at them all game. Its interesting that ND has nearly exactly the same rushing yards in the 1st and 2nd halves of every game. Like, within 1 or 2 yards.

It’ll depend on how BYU wants to defend. If they’re gonna load the box and run blitz, there’s no reason any RB should get a ton of carries. If they want to drop 7 or 8 into coverage and not let Carr beat them, then I could see a run heavy gameplan.

Not about running style, but ever since he showed his potential, I keep thinking he can have a freshman Marcus Lattimore type performance.

If he doesn't get at least 15 carries something is wrong
That or ND is dominating and they don't feel the need to run him too much.

If he gets 11 carries for 110 yards and ND wins by 18, I'd say they did okay with him.

I think the only way we lose is losing the turnover battle + not converting in the red zone, so if they have real concerns about him as a freshman fumbling I could see him have a pretty equal carry share.

Not saying it can't happen, but I think those worries were put to bed when he got all the carries in the Carolina downpour.

A week after running for 181 yards you give him the ball 5 times. Awesome game plan. I kept telling my non-ND buddies, "wait until they put in Walton."

In a game with tons, and I mean TONS of stupidity from ND's end, that is definitely up there. You're flat footed all game long, Carr isn't playing well, the defense is shaky at best, and you have this talented playmaker who has shown he has the burst to break a big one and turn the momentum of the game on it's head....and he doesn't see the ball outside of FIVE plays.
