2026 Midterms - How Will They Turn Out?

With the Midterm elections exactly a month away, it's time to start a thread...

I will be the first to say, one way or another, from Election Day (November 3rd) through the swearing in of new members of Congress (January 3rd), something will go awry in these 60 days that will further cement an Authoritarian regime in America headed up by Trump and whoever comes after him, and supported by this depraved coalition of MAGA, White Nationalists, Tech Bros., and Heritage Foundation types.

I will be the first to fall on my sword if these elections: 1) Go off as free and fair; 2) The Democrats win in landslide to take the House and likely take the Senate; and 3) these new Democrats are sworn in on January 3rd by Mike Johnson to take over Congress with their newly-won majority.

Instead, I believe there will be resistance from Trump, his cabinet members, key appointees, and the courts all along the way because this guy and these crazed people have NO intention of giving up power and being brought to court and imprisoned. Hell no, no way!

Trump and his admin will have the armed forces to stop these elections from going off without a hitch and enforce the proclamations (Insurrection Act, Emergency Powers, etc.) that Trump makes during this time. At this point, there are tens of thousands of ICE, CBP, DHS, and red state National Guard officers/soldiers ready to keep protestors and opponents in line, unified by Joint Task Forces and Quick Reactionary Forces throughout the country. Lastly, don't forget about the thousands of local, county, and state police officers, troopers, and sheriffs, who are aligned with Trump and this admin via Section 287(g) Memorandums of Agreement across ALL states.

And this is not even talking about how much U.S. media is now controlled by pro-Zionist and pro-Trump/MAGA media moguls, so don't count on anything being surfaced or challenged by the media.

These elections are the most important in our country's history and this will be a litmus test for what this country becomes moving forward.

Will our government become even more Authoritarian? Or, will it take a step towards once again becoming a Constitutional Republic and Democracy?

These are dangerous times indeed...

- The security officers were contracted through multinational private security company Prosegur, according to a Raw Story investigation
- Prosegur has a history of alleged human rights violations, including an incident as recent as 2024 in which the company's Brazilian subsidiary reportedly prevented indigenous people from accessing food and medical care at a nearby town
- Prosegur's guards are currently located at USPS facilities in Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, Indianapolis, Phoenix, San Diego, and Tampa, according to internal memos obtained by Raw Story
- One postal contractor that spoke with the digital outlet said she was "alarmed" that the armed security guards were predominantly confined to "deep blue states or swing states"

Wrong, you're misrepresenting what I said. I said it is expected that as a reaction to a a complete ownership of the Presidency and both houses, the other party is almost guaranteed to win at least the House, if not both houses of government; thus, if doesn't happen, it would be fishy.

And, it's a strong possibility, it will be very obvious tampering like seizing ballots or allowing the new Democrat majority but then not certifying the election winners and not swearing in the new Democrat victors on January 3rd. Much different from what you stated here.

1) The bolded is highly dubious and 2) I'm talking about things more related that affect our Constitutional Republic and Democracy - like a party who wins the vote and is not seated. New criminal charges against noncitizens in California​

All 28 people charged in California on Monday are green card holders, and all appeared on the list of 20,000 names the DOJ gave California officials last week, according to DOJ officials.

1.2M people have voted in North Carolina two weeks ahead of actual election day. I despise early voting. Why give a full month to harvest ballots? It should be election DAY with absentee processes for valid reasons.

My wife voted early, waiting an hour at the early voting site. It does make the calls and texts stop. Election day I will walk in and out spending more time filling my ballot than waiting for it.

Republicans are going to lose the house and senate and Trump will be impeached before March Madness. I hold out hope it will be cathartic enough to prompt a R wave in 2028 so we don't go back to importing the third world.

I respect your opinion on how things may unfold, but I'm not banking on any concessions coming from Trump, his crazed Heritage Foundation team, or MAGA generally, absolutely none.

And if there is any hope / chance, that possibility is in danger up to 1/3/2027 when certification and swearing in are supposed to happen.

No one knows for sure who's behind this ploy, but come on, Mary Peltola, the Democratic former congresswoman, has consistently been leading the polls against the incumbent Republican Senator Dan Sullivan, even if only a 2-4 point lead.

The Alaskan Supreme Court upheld the AK Superior Court ruling to keep the 2nd Sullivan on the ballot. No conclusive partisanship determined but come one, AK is a Red State and most of these judges appointed by Republicans, and the Superior Court Judge was appointed during Trump's first term.

And with the way Trump and the DOJ are all over this issue points to their guilt IMO.

I get it, when you don't have an intelligent reply, this sounds wild, etc., you go to the IE MAGA playbook of "you are unhinged," "see a licensed mental health profession," and you are a conspiracy theorist.

I'll keep it on point:

1) Israel - the State underpinned by their global Zionist political strategy and ambitions - is a bad-actor country which causes chaos and destruction around the globe and is a master at political espionage and political/cultural infiltration of countries and governments.
2) That's bad for the U.S. as can be seen by current direction and events for the U.S. right up to what is likely to be happening to our midterm elections and Democracy.
3) Israel is certainly not acting alone. There have been dark entities that also desire global governments and economies to go a certain way - and in the US, Republicans and Democrats have played their part in these efforts
4) However, there certainly has been a much more organized and intentional plan and execution of rightwing, conservative ideas - which involve capture of government, culture, education, and media - that originated in the U.S. starting with Powell Memo in 1971. This spawned The Heritage Foundation and all the covert activities and plans that emanated from that point in time.
5) Trump and the MAGA party became the front that finally got the rightwing, conservative, and reactionary Christian infiltration fully into power and these guys that are part of this coalition are running the Trump/MAGA show. People like Kevin Roberts (the "bloodless revolution" guy), Russell Vought (current OMB Director), Psycho Stephen Miller, Leo Leonard (co-chairman of The Federalist Society) and main man for the conservative takeover of the Supreme Court, top Christian Nationalist leaders who's ideas also permeate this group of people, etc.
6) The last part of this "coalition of chaos" are the Tech Bros. like Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, Marc Andreesen, political theorist, Curtis Yarvin, Palantir CEO and coked-up lunatic, Alex Karp, and this group is doing the most damage through their political spending - that's right up there with Israel and AIPAC - and how monopolistic and powerful they have become, evidenced by how freely and unencumbered their efforts have been to pop up data centers where ever they please, no matter how resource-draining and environmental-unhealthy their operations are.

As ridiculous as this all sounds - and hence why you so easily call me a "tinfoil conspiracy theorist" - These are all real things occurring right now that are putting America's future in jeopardy.

Prove to me that things are otherwise... I'm all ears.

And I'm also not naive, this is not easy. What do we do? We have families, we have jobs, we have lives, I get it. Those realities unfortunately don't stop what's happening from happening, and it's what current leaders are counting (that and being distracted fighting each other over partisan bullshit) on so that there is no legitimate resistance to their plans.
