Who would it be? That other thread got me thinking. For me, I would love to play FSU and renew that rivalry. Behind USC and Michigan, I think that is one of the better rivalries out there for us. It would definetly give us a lot of exposure to the Florida kids and it would make for some great games. Florida would also be fun to play along with Oregon.

I like the return of ASU to our schedule. Of the teams we don't have any scheduled games with, I wouldn't mind seeing Texas on there.

I would like to see Tennessee and Florida. Would love to see Irish in The Swamp, and trips to Neyland are also fun. These games would help recruiting out in the south.

I agree. Playing Tennesee would be somethin to watch. I've always wanted to go to Neyland stadium...Ditto for the Swamp. I really would love it if we could add one of the teams from the SEC, now that we finally have the speed and talent to compete with them. Georgia would also be a fun game to watch.

Air Force. I have a good friend, and fellow ND enthusiast, just outside of Denver. Two years ago, we went to the game in Colorado Springs. I bought tickets off of the Academy's website, and ended up in the first row, about the 25 yard line. The seats were GREAT, the Air Force fans were fun, the view was awesome, and the beer was cold. It was a great day, all around. This year's game should have been back in Colorado Springs, and I was really looking forward to going back there. But I can't find it on the schedule. :curse:

I'm retired AF and my brother-in-law graduated from the Academy in '05. We went to the game against ND in '03. It was a great time. Some of the AF fans are just as obnoxious as the rest of college football....talking bad about the Catholics and ND in general. In the section we were in it got a little out of hand; I just sat there in my ND gear and enjoyed the win. Great experience.

I would add rotating home-homes with Florida and Texas. (2 years UF, 2 years UT)

I would only play Michigan 2 out of every 4 years and replace them with a Mid-Tier that we have some history with like Iowa or GT.

I am so sick of Michigan...we have far more history with Pitt than UM. Michigan is not a traditional rival and I am tired of treating them that way.

Dude that was 15 years ago... The last game we played FSU was in 03 when they beat us 37-0

Dude, we were 5-7 in 2003. That game meant nothing by the time it was played. I know it was a long time ago, but at least the '93 game had an impact on the National Championship. Just sayin'.

It always amazes me that we have only played OSU 4 times in the regular season. That's all...just amazing given their proximity.

I thought I was the only one that noticed, we have played Pitt double if not more than what we have played Michigan. Good observation LMI

Yeah, people have come to see Michigan as some rival....

That's probably because they are #1 and #2, in all time winning percentage. And the difference is miniscule, so every game played between them is a chance for one program to either make up some ground, or put some ground between them and the other.

For me a great game would be ND against Alabama... their fans would be crushed when we whipped them....

I'm going ot have to agree with the folks who think Tenn and FSU are good picks. If you remember the 93 FSU game, that alone is enough to make you want to play them again. And Tenn, they are a up and coming SEC team that will make for good games.

I live in Colorado Springs and work accross the street from Falcon Stadium. I have been to 2 Irish games there and the first one was several years ago when Gameday was there and both teams i believe were undefeated. The other was when Brady and Co came to town a couple years ago. Its a great atmosphere, even with the smaller stadium. I really hope the Irish renew the home and home, because its the only time I really have a chance to see them live.

I'm in the AF, and even I don't want to see the Irish play the Falcons. Navy, maybe Army because of tradition. But I hate the military games. I would rather see an upper to mid level BCS team instead in one of their slots. Maybe a someone ranked in the 20s to on the bubble. IN an area that ND recruits in.

I understand your reasoning, but I was responding to the post in more selfish terms..Big picture it is better for ND to play the type of teams you mentioned, but as a young father of 2, who doesnt have the means to travel far to see the team he loves live, it would be ideal for me if they came back to Colorado Springs.

I'm a father one 1 who lives in Hawaii! I don't get to travel to any!!!!!! games. And I used to have season tickets through my grandfather!!! How dejected do you think I feel! So, unselfishly, and Mid to Upper tier team would be great, T A&M was a good pick.

Had fun watching the LSU game back in 96..... Starting a new series with a good team from the SEC would be great!
