QB: Clausen is definitely among the final 2, most likely with Sharpley.
RB: We can use 4 or 5 different running backs every game. (Thomas, Aldridge, Allen, Jabbie, Hughes?)
WR: Not nearly as much skill as last year, but Parris could be a good deep threat.
TE: Same as last year
OL: Better depth, not as much experience
DL: Probably not as much skill as last year, but could be more effective.
LB: Much more confidence
CB: Actually using their speed. The fact that Gary Gray or Walls or McNeil wont make the 2 Deep shows how much skill we have here.
S: Playing the pass before the run

* DBs way ahead of the WRs
* OL ahead of the DL when running
* OL not too great in pass protection
* 2nd string DL & LB not too good against the run.
* First string defense played very well.
* DJones has wheels, would have made many more plays if not for 2 hand touch rule
* Sharpley & Jabbie played very well but it was against the 2nd string defense.
* AAND and I both commented on how Chris Stewart kept getting blown off the ball on the running plays. I did see him throw aside Bermenderfer on one play near the end of the game, but overall he still plays too tall to be the answer for us at nose tackle. Still, he's only been playing this position for a few months so there's hope that he will improve by Sept 1.

I was not impressed with very much of what I saw out there, I am hopeing for much improvement b4 the beginning of the season...that being said...
Junior Jabby looked very improved sitting in the end zone allowed me to see his cuts and they were impressive...no other backs really impressed
Parrish has excellent hands...made a spectacular catch
The oline was sparadic to say the least
As CW said the defense was generally always in position which was a welcome site
DJ can motor
JC makes good decisions from what I could see
is 33 really a kicker? no seriously....really?
Here's what impressed me guys...as stated a few weeks ago I probably saw my beloved ND from the inside for the last time. Sitting in the sun with all those people hearing Here come the irish it was hard not to tear up...I pulled in and asked a staff person where I could park and explained my situation...they made sure I was parked as close as possible. I was parked against the curb infront of gate C...maybe 25 yrds to the stadium. Everyone was so kind...I've always been proud to be a follower of Our Lady but I was taken to another level. I was able to walk to the quad facing the dome and soak in all the sites...had a steak sandwich from the young gentlemen of the Knights of columbus...all the students that passed by where just top notch kids. There were enough benches to walk a little ways and rest...it was ....sorry no words would suffice. I have always been and always will be in love with Notre Dame...my very being has been uplifted...everyone please go or go back if you haven't been there lately

Any way Jabbie beats out all the other big names and takes over as DW replacement?

Could be, but not likely. Remember that Jabbie was running behind the first string OL against the second string defense. That being said, he seemed to run better than Aldridge.
