Do we know what actually happened here?
I assume it’s because he’s from Alabama and recruiting kids from Alabama is a complete waste of time.

This staff has proven they can’t land kids from Alabama and Mississippi. And if they can’t do it, I think it’s basically impossible for ND.

I think Kingston verbally committed and then once agent/other party/uncle stepped in, things broke down. ND didn’t feel like the move to Trey was worth waiting on at that point with his recruitment heating up

The more and more I watched Trey’s film you can’t tell me there are 3 better QB’s in this class. He’s better than Kingston.

The question is about upside with Tagliaferri. There is no doubting that he's a high floor QB that will be college ready walking in the door. As his body matures he's also going to be able to generate additional velocity with an arm that is already more than capable. He's not going to give you much as an athlete and he's not much of a threat in the run game. He throws a pretty ball much like Everett Golson did and his release is excellent.

Overall, a really nice passing prospect to follow up an upside guy lacking experience in Champ Monds.

This is actually a really interesting comparison. I see a lot of Carrs sophomore tape here too. Great touch and anticipation. A little "young arm". But I think Trey could get there. And completely agree about the level of competition
