The Thunder are so deep. Lebron is doing what he's doing at 41 years young, but with no Luka, they might be able to hang but that's about it. OKC is just too good.

Lebron had a great game last night and like you said, it didn't even matter. Crazy how good he is at 41. Hope Luka can make it back at some point in the series to make it a little more interesting.
Cleveland/Detroit looks like it might be a bloodbath. Tempers were flaring last night in the second half and it was only game 1. Allen got into early foul trouble with 3 in the first and that catapulted the 'Stones into a big first half lead that eventually disappeared. I could see that series going 7 games.

Getting a NBA team here in Oklahoma City was a joke a couple decades ago. Now they are on the verge of a potential dynasty. Amazing what a real GM (Sam Presti) can do. Hoping Mike Martin has the same type of impact at ND working with Freeman.

They went outside of their comfort zone here, but it won't matter unless he comes in and makes sweeping changes. He should go to every department and ask who are these people, how long have they been here and what do they do.
If the analytics department has three people and needs 10, you hire what you need. Find out how players and agents view the franchise (it isn't good) and figure out how to change whether it is travel accommodations on road trips, medical staff, facilities, etc. Forget about the global brand of the Bulls that has been living off of the oxygen of Michael Jordan. Basketball is 2026, not the 1990s. Nobody cares about the six trophies they won in the 90s.
Do something that matters to make the team matter again.

Yea the Thunder are definitely the standard and will be for the foreseeable future. Man they are a tough watch though ; leave your self-respect at the door. Makes it more embarrassing b/c it’s unnecessary.
I’m trying to watch now and I’m convinced they have practices just falling down and contorting themselves. Chet started the game pretending to get hit in the face and rolled around for minutes- never touched. Overturned.

OKC's depth really makes everything else a non factor. Officiating and fouls might matter if the gap between them and the Lakers was closer, but it isn't.

They're a great, well built team and outside of the Spurs (possibly) I don't even see a challenge coming their way this year - I think the only impact is on my desire to watch it.
*We're back to locking into the Pistons at the house this year - so maybe my fandom too.

Probably. I think the Spurs can give them a series if both go through to the West Finals.
Finals could be trickly. Pistons maybe.
Pacers traded their first round pick to the Clippers with a provision. If the pick is in the top 5 or 11 and higher, Pacers keep the pick. It goes to the Clippers if it is 6-10. With as good of odds as anyone to get the #1 pick, the Pacers defied the odds and landed at six.
After previous lottery possibilities and now this one, I am firmly convinced the Pacers are destined to languish in Mediocrity forever.

The Bulls getting the fourth pick on top of getting a new VP gives me some hope. I'm going to assume it is Caleb Wilson from UNC that falls to them at 4, but it is a great opportunity regardless.
More interested to see who they pick with 15.

Yep, I’m not a big Boozer fan Wilson falls to them. 15 BPA. I’ll be curious if they trade Giddy for a young prospect or draft assets?

I’m pretty much a NBA fan every year, starting in the 2nd round of the playoffs. Fun to finally see the Spurs as I haven’t watched them much. Also enjoyed watching the Lakers lose. LeBron is incredible to do what he’s doing at his age. It is a little jarring watching him at this stage of his career. I still think he’s just going to dunk on everyone as he drives the lane. Then he just kicks it out. Father Time is a mother fucker.
