Seriously, the whole judging someone (and again, not just Trump) because you think something sounds like what they COULD HAVE said is nonsense. This is a good example of something I've seen countless times. Someone will attribute some negative action or comment to Trump or another politician and say, "See!" and when it's shown they didn't do or say it, the person says, "Well, they could have!" and then judge them as though they actually had. Well, you "could have" said or done a lot of things. You want to be judged on something you could have said or done even when you didn't? Then don't do it to others.

The Pentagon routinely makes and updates plans for any scenario you can think of. They have a plan to invade Barbados. That they have plans for a land invasion of Iran (which they have already had for decades and routinely update it, as they are likely doing now)

The only ground operation I can make sense of is Fordow if they think there's uranium to withdraw or they want to backpack nuke it. That should be in and out. Perhaps there's something in the Straits they need to get to on land and get back out of, but I'm not familiar with that.

Rubio perfectly called the shot a decade ago. It set them up for nuclear technology and a pathway for future weapons grade enrichment. I’ll take the Rubio approach over the Rhodes/Sullivan approach any day.
