I think there are many reasons for Trump, Israel and Saudi Arabia attacking Iran, but this is the one reason that worries me the most about U.S. citizens being affected by the attack fallout, and that it's likely planned to happen so that Trump and his admin can tighten their vise grip on the country and cities, in plenty of time for the mid-term elections, now about 8 months away. Why do I have this concern and think this is likely to happen?
First of all, for the most powerful country in the world with the world's leading military, why in the world would you say something like this publicly to scare the American public?

From the story:
“But I think they’re worried about that all the time. We think about it all the time.
We plan for it,” he
said in the interview published Thursday. “But yeah, you know,
we expect some things. Like I said, some people will die.
When you go to war, some people will die.”
The FBI is monitoring the threat of Iranian sleeper cells that may be or have been activated in the United States.
Ok, great, but then FFS, why does Kash Patel go and take this action only days before the Iranian strikes begin last week?
FBI agents fired by Patel worked in counterintelligence, including on cases involving Iran, sources say

"
Most of the FBI agents fired by FBI Director Kash Patel last week
worked on counterintelligence cases, including cases pertaining to Iran, multiple sources told CBS News.
Approximately
a dozen or so FBI employees, including agents, analysts and support staff, were abruptly terminated over a two-day period last week after Patel lashed out over the discovery that his phone records and those of White House chief of staff Susie Wiles were subpoenaed by the FBI as part of special counsel
Jack Smith's probes into President Trump.
Many of the agents who were terminated were assigned to a squad that worked on global counterintelligence cases, including those involving Iran.
Among the terminated staffers was a section chief in counterintelligence who handled espionage threats, including threats from the Iranian government and its proxies, one of the sources added.
A different source with knowledge of the matter called the firing of the members of the CI-12 squad "devastating to the FBI's Iran program." The source said that
these agents have confidential informants in the Iranian community in the U.S. "You can't replicate that with new agents. These sources will go away." The source pointed out that in the intelligence community, it is only the FBI that has a robust intelligence program in the U.S. because the CIA cannot operate domestically."
From Google Gemini re: their replacement and current work on those cases:
- No Immediate Replacement Named: As of early March 2026, reports have focused on the "gutting" of this team rather than their immediate replacement with new personnel.
- Concerns Over Operational Gap: The firings took place just before major U.S. military operations against Iran, raising significant concerns among officials and experts that the loss of this expertise in the CI-12 unit would hamper the investigation of retaliatory threats on U.S. soil.
- FBI Response: In response to the criticisms, the FBI stated that it "maintains a robust counterintelligence operation, with personnel all over the country" and that "teams remain fully engaged," without directly addressing the replacement of the specific terminated individuals.
Fuck off Patel, you've known the roles of these FBI agents in the Jack Smith initiated probes into Trump for years, and in fact, you fired many long ago when you took office for similar retribution reasons, but not these agents working on critical Iranian espionage and terror investigations and analysis. Now, all of sudden, you've gotten your panties in a twist?!
No f-ing way... We're being set up by the Trump admin for a false flag type event, likely where the FBI and other terror-fighting personnel will either be entirely absent or pretending to look the other way, a la Israel letting Hamas militants launch a surprise, multi-pronged attack from the Gaza Strip into southern Israel, killing over 1,200 people—mostly civilians—and taking roughly 251 hostages in October 2023.
Do they think we're stupid? I hope I'm wrong, but I smell a big, stinky rat here and US citizens are at risk of being killed. WTF
