Unless the staff has something up their sleeve, there’s not a WR of the same caliber as Fields/Marsh on the radar.

ND has the QB and just made MF an even richer man. Let’s not get shy when it comes to acquiring CFP level talent, please.

Losing out on Marsh and then “fixing” the problem with a guy they believe as a hybrid? Oh boy, I sure hope not.

I would really like to know what Notre Dame was doing for the past month+? Besides crying to the media about the CFP snub, it doesn’t seem like they’ve been doing a whole lot. Letting an elite HC and borderline elite QB go to waste would be a very Notre Dame thing to do.

This is embarrassing for all parties involved. Unless they get the DT situation fixed, they have a snowball’s chance in hell at making the CFP next year. Opponents won’t have to even think about throwing the ball, when they can just run it up Notre Dame’s ass all the game.

This is starting to remind me of Summer 2024 when they royally fucked up recruiting visits and basically lost out on everyone

I am, and I’m sorry. My hopes for this program have been sky high, and they’re letting me down. Everything was/is in front of them for the taking, and now they seem to have reverted back to operating like it’s 2010.

I can tell you what he wasn’t doing, and that was bowl game prep. MF had all the time in the world in December to make sure the portal operations would be running smoothly.

IE has a selfish view of ND and we feel like we need HCTI episodes every day about what's going to happen tomorrow rather than yesterday lol. We just have to accept instant gratification is not going to happen. The beat has no inside knowledge and we're likely to get more news from outside sources because leaks within are designed to be non credible.

I find it fascinating that people are obsessing over players that only a few days ago nobody had ever really heard of. Makes it very difficult for me to feel all bent about "missing out" on these guys. I want to let the process play out fully before I assess what the portal was or was not for Notre Dame. My fandom will lose very sleep over a WR from Rutgers going to Cal. WR, TE seem like luxury positions. It's obvious DL is the pain point and they just hired a really good DL coach. Let's watch it play out.

Very curious to see if any other guys start jumping in and set visits to ND right away.

As mentioned, I'm going to wait and see what they end up with once the window closes and assess what happened after the process is complete. As opposed to in the middle of the process.

Would I like to have Portal business done and dusted now? Sure. Seeing that it isn't and there are likely more guys jumping in, I'll wait.
