It wasn’t that long ago when Notre Dame was pretty much limited to transfers who are graduates and coming from a pretty good academic school. Now they’re taking undergrads from football factories. Look how far we’ve come!

Yesterday was worth the wait. Hopefully the party continues today.

Someone mentioned it yesterday that BK has to be fuming seeing all the hoops we seem to be now willing to jump through for MFMF. Honestly, it proves the point in life that you get much farther with sugar then vinegar.

I think it’s just as much relentlessness and the focused pursuit of excellence as anything. Kelly walked in with his excuses lined up, Marcus Freeman pretends they don’t exist. Built different.

I am not a BK fan, and MF’s way of doing things is far superior, but all the changes are not reducible to MF’s winning personality.

College football and ND are both completely different environments in 2024. For example, Indiana is #1, having straight up bought a team. ND isn’t trying to decide if even likes football.

I doubt a guy like Freeman would have taken the job between 2005 and 2015, if anythinbelse was available.

Good riddance to BK, but he was operating in a different environment.

College football and ND are both completely different environments in 2024. For example, Indiana is 24-2 or something (whooping Alabama and handling aOSU this year) in the last two years, having straight up bought a team. ND isn’t trying to decide if football is compatible with its USNews and World Reports ambitions.

I doubt a guy like Freeman would have even taken the job between 2005 and 2015, if something else was available.

Notre Dame having an AD that is a genuine fan of the team is just as important as anything. We still don’t know if Pete is a good decision maker, but it’s obvious he is willing to do things Swarbrick would scoff at.

Green the other DT from Oregon just entered the portal. He's as big as Grey and has two years left.

If we teach someone to drop kick, that'll eliminate the need for a holder and we can add another personal protector. Might fit the roster better.
