I wonder of Singleton announcing to Auburn in any way impacts their pursuit of Mylan Graham... Could be something to watch relative to Notre Dame.

ND is, objectively, unlikely to spend the money it would cost to get him, however, he would be the near perfect back to combo with a lesser experienced Williams in a 1-2 punch, which is what ND's running back coach prefers. Both could get a huge number of carries and usage, behind what projects to be an excellent OL.

The Love / Price combo I'd a near perfect example to sell, with a carry split that's closer to even.

The difference between this and professional sports is that in pro sports your entire roster doesn’t have the option of testing the market every year-they’re mostly on multi year contracts that are negotiated according to the rules of the relevant CBA. This is why I assume it’s got to be close enough to market rate, because you are essentially renegotiating every year and too big of delta will result in portal entries. Being that our 2 deep is still at ND we must be within striking distance, enough that the thought of uprooting your life is sufficient disincentive to test things.

Pitt Loses Second Young, Promising DT to Portal

He becomes the second defensive tackle from Pitt’s 2024 recruiting class to enter the portal in the past week, joining sophomore Francis Brewu. Both were recruited by former defensive line coach Charlie Partridge to Pitt.

Since entering the portal, Brewu has received plenty of interest, and on Friday, was visiting Notre Dame where Partridge was recently hired as the defensive line coach. It will be interesting to see if Whittington at least explores a visit with the Fighting Irish.

Coming out of Imhotep Charter High School in Philadelphia, Pa., Whittington was ranked as the No. 16 defensive line prospect, according to Rivals. He chose Pitt over offers from Penn State, Michigan, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, Syracuse, West Virginia and others.

ISD’s update today had him still making visits but he was a good fit for ND academically and on the field

He also makes up shit like "Marsh is on campus right now" in the hopes that one of his made-up stories actually comes true so that he can claim he was the first to know.

Still my favorite part of this whole cycle. Guy says it was happening. Everyone with actual sources said no. He doubles down and says he's the only one who is right, and bizarrely claims it is because he isn't behind a paywall (as if that is relevant). Marsh's mom then says no, he isn't there, confirming the people who actually have sources. Bruce is unfazed and continues with the same schtick.

My favorite was someone responding to some random shit he said (not Marsh related) "this was on the 4HL hours ago" and he replies "what the hell is the 4HL"
