Driskell is saying that there were a few more prospects on campus today, besides Thompson, Gilliam, Daley, Townsend & Atkinson.

For whatever reason, ND is secretive about who they are.
I think the sooner our fanbase realizes MF does not report to us or to the beat, and owes us nothing the better off we will all be. Its basically his business to run it however he deems necessary, and we do not have to understand it. I feel quite certain that the people who need to know, know.

This is not a dig at you or your post, just a general belief/feeling that is relevant to your post.

It legit cracks me up how USC turned over 100% of their roster construction to a guy with no football background and are signing a bunch of defensive players with no DC in place.

Fisher is really just an experienced body but between their recruiting class and activity in the portal I can't deny they are spending real money. TT and IU didnt have to pay for a top 2026 class like they are.

Any word on how the visits went? Anything imminent? Need someone to pop to calm down the masses!

I find it funny that Freeman has tightened up the gates and the beat finds out at the very last hour right before it’s released. But the media just takes it and loves him.

USC is being slimey again like they were with the LBs coach leaving last year. Their Dline coach who everyone loves and is an elite recruiter is probably going to Georgia tech as DC unless he gets the USC DC but they are delaying it until they get guys signed.

Some really good players still jumping in the Portal and guys with multiple years of eligibility left, which is seems to be ND's preference when possible.

Francis Brewu at DT would be nice. Freshman All American in 2024. Honorable mention All ACC this year. He's only going to get better as his body matures. 6'1, 280lbs and reminds me of Howard Cross. Probably never players heavier than 285-290lbs, but he's a quick penetrator and plays with great pad level. Recruited to Pitt by Charlie Patridge.

Xavier Gilliam plays DT and NG and fits ND's "penetrator" style. 6'2, 300lbs, with three years of eligibility remaining. Probably has room to get a little bit bigger as he matures and definitely projects to be a starting caliber player, or at the very least, a heavy rotational guy in a 4 DT / NG system. Seems like ND has done well here.

Keon Keeley at DE, with two years remaining, is very intriguing. If you're going to take one "boom or bust" type guy in the cycle, he's who I would target. Would I be surprised to see him lose 10lbs and be an exellent #3 rotational end for ND? Why not? His play at Alabama was inconsistent, but if ND can oull him in and Patridge can grt him sorted out, he could be a low key nice pull that winds up having a late career resurgence similar to JBB when he transfered in from Ohio State.

I'm going to remain patient at WR. Firmly believe they'll get a boundary guy there. No idea if he's going to be an outright starting caliber guy, or not, but we'll see!

Also confident that they're going to land a better than average kicker. Doubt it's going to be a top guy, but if it's going to be someone like De Freitas, that projects to be a significant step up from the trip we had last year.

I have to imagine a visit with ND is in the works too, if not already in place. Partridge recruited the guy.
Assuming Brewu follows through and visits Miami, if I'm ND, I begin tampering with Justin Scott. Miami returns 1 of their 2 starting Defensive Tackles as well as 2 others (1 of them being Scott) who play a lot of rotational snaps. Brewu is going to want to start wherever he goes. You simply tell Scott that you'll match his current NIL and he can be a starter right away, as opposed to being a solid 3rd or 4th Defensive Tackle at Miami.

Miami has done a great job with their DL this year. If Brewu doesn't go to ND and transfers into Miami, you know he's going to be a complete pain in the ass when we play thrm next year!

Graham is the type of high upside guy you spend on.
Definitely. If you can get a young guy like Mylan Graham or Quincy Porter to transfer into ND every couple years, it helps make up for the fact that ND struggles to land those types directly out of high school.

Ohio State doesn't usually face this type of rister attrition among their young WRs, but losing, by far, the best WR guru college football is definitely going to encourage some losses. If would be nice to take advantage of that happening!

I would disagree and say they do every other year or so. Noah Rogers, Kaleb Brown, Caleb Burton, Jameson Williams, Porter along with Graham this year. Plus Hartline left this time like you said.

They probably plan to start Chris Henry Jr.

Is Graham a Jameson Williams or Kaleb Brown is the question.

Bigger, faster, stronger version of Jordan Faison. Would be a great rotation addition for a year, before competing for a spot as a starter at field or slot in 2027. If ND can land him, I might play him behind Greathouse in the slot, however, because I wouldn't want to block Elijah Burress from getting #2 reps to the field. I think he's going to be a real one!
