Agreed. If Minchey is going to go someplace where he believes he would be the starter from day 1, that program will likely be mediocre. He could do a lot worse than Nebraska.

I remember the other Nebraska game where Arnaz Battle was at QB before switching to WR. Dude nearly beat the #1 Cornhuskers with a broken wrist. Hell of a game, Boob Davie blew it at the end.

Same. I remember being amazed at how many Nebraska fans scored tickets. I remember thinking their players resembled extras for American History X.

5 foot nothing Joey Getherall made great plays on special teams. I believe he had a punt return for a TD. Didn’t Julius Jones house one too? Rocky Boiman played great, physical football…bashing away against the Nebraska offensive line and fullbacks.

Such an awful way to lose in OT, though. We almost beat them while completing like 2
passes total.

Eric Crouch and their running back who was like 260 pounds were just a little too much that day.

Yep, I was at school then and the 2 main things I recall 1) How the heck did Nebraska get the tickets to have close to 50% of the seats? 2) Davie not trying to win at end of 4Q with the ball and trying to get to OT where they lost...
