Agreed. If Minchey is going to go someplace where he believes he would be the starter from day 1, that program will likely be mediocre. He could do a lot worse than Nebraska. You could do a lot worse than Nebraska. Really strong, almost cult like fan base. Quality facilities. P4 conference team with resources. Willing to pay good money to you even know you've never proven anything at the college level. Committed financiers that are trying to upgrade the program. Decent talent around you...
I'll tune in to watch the Huskers this year. That's something I haven't said in thirty years.I'll be rooting for Nebraska this year.

Ty SimpsonDoes anyone know who Tennessee is going after? I wonder if they're too good for Minchey? I feel like it would have been a good fit
Dodged a bullet probably.I'll never forget how he rejected Nard dog. I want Kenny to do well. I'm rooting for him.
I remember the other Nebraska game where Arnaz Battle was at QB before switching to WR. Dude nearly beat the #1 Cornhuskers with a broken wrist. Hell of a game, Boob Davie blew it at the end.One of only two of my ND games was at NE in 2001. Sat in their student section, that was entertaining. The game, not so much. The Matt Levechio days are behind us…

Same. I remember being amazed at how many Nebraska fans scored tickets. I remember thinking their players resembled extras for American History X.I was at this game. Will never forget it.
Yep, I was at school then and the 2 main things I recall 1) How the heck did Nebraska get the tickets to have close to 50% of the seats? 2) Davie not trying to win at end of 4Q with the ball and trying to get to OT where they lost...Same. 5 foot nothing Joey Getherall made great plays on special teams. I believe he had a punt return for a TD. Didn’t Julius Jones house one too? Rocky Boiman played great, physical football…bashing away against the Nebraska offensive line and fullbacks.
Such an awful way to lose in OT, though. We almost beat them while completing like 2
passes total.
Eric Crouch and their running back who was like 260 pounds were just a little too much that day.
SEC money.
SEC money.
No joke, what the hell happened. Either he committed without signing or these contracts are not enforceable. If that's true good luck.First time I've seen a portal commitment flip. I had thought that "commitments" essentially meant signed contracts.
