So this is the vibe being put out, no?

Carr
Williams
Transfer - Faison - Greathouse
Flanagan/Flanigan
Knapp - Schrauth - Craig - Lambert - Jagusah
Did i miss the confirmation of Schrauth returning? I thought the last smoke around him was that it was more likely for him to go to the NFL than comeback?

Still a toss up it seems

I did not realize Schmidt was the #1 HS Punter, not Kicker. Feels obvious IMO you just give him the punting job and find a transfer kicker. Find a walk on punter. If Schmidt turns it around kicking wise then great but it saves face confidence wise to just let him do what he apparently does best which is punt, not kick.

Can we wrap the transfer kicker in bubble wrap. 0 for 2 on out transfer kickers making it a whole season.

Me neither until I told one of my coworkers (whose son camped at ND w/ him & got to know him) how bad he was struggling at kicking FG. She said she was surprised that he’s even getting an opportunity as he was more known for his punting. I agree with you, that’s the route to take. And no more kick-offs either…just punting.

Was he bad last year? Serious question. I never heard his name much. That’s a good for for an o-lineman.
He had as bad a game as you can have week 1, and wasn’t too much better week 2. The reality is our oline and dline weren’t ready to play to start the season.

After Billy went out, he was by far our best lineman, had a strong 2nd half of the season.

OL isn’t going to hit its potential with Knapp staying at LT.

I think he will be ok. I am not sure he will be great though.

If we have any transfers they have to figure it out in camp. If they can’t come out of camp on the same page unlike this year Rudolph needs to be gone. You will not have success in this modern day of football if it takes 3 games to get going. And that is one reason we are sitting home.

While recruiting has been part of it, they’ve had horrendous luck / bad development with guys like Vernon, Houston, Gobaira, and Tyson Ford who you expect to be seniors / 5th years this coming year and contribute if not start. Literally all of those guys were 4 stars. Burnham is another guy who underperformed his top 100 ranking.
