At this point, full concentration has to be placed on this year to optimize our goal. I'm not disagreeing with you but it's all hands on deck right now. MF needs to be all-present right now, and while he could have shirked the responsibility, he's back in. We got that done so let's work.

Freeman didn't put out that graphic or announce that he is "re-signing." That was, uh, Matt Freeman. He just publicly ended speculation that has been swirling for weeks (despite most of the people who are most informed about all this being confident he wasn't going anywhere).

I don't love the annual speculation either but it comes with the territory when you have a coach with as much upside as Marcus Freeman. And 12 months is an eternity in this sport. Let's see what happens before making any predictions of gloom.

A coach saying "I'm staying forever" doesn't make a lot of sense either. Everything is about leverage, and willingly giving that up in contract negotiations is foolish. Sucks for us fans to always wonder, but be glad we get to enjoy a coach who is so revered that he garners this sort of attention.

Freeman didn't say he re-signed. The story broke that he told NFL teams he isn't interested in leaving for an NFL gig. The graphics are from other people.
