There’s only one window now, January. How does that impact guys who go into spring thinking they’re high on the depth chart and drop below younger guys?

Ayneas is a nice asset, but not a real game breaker. I think Javian Osborne steps on campus as most natural RB on the roster , hopefully can have an impact like freshman Bo Jackson at Ohio state this year after Henderson/judkins led them to a title
Williams averaged over 9 yards a carry (the best on the team) and had 5 TDs in very limited action. Not a game breaker? 🤔

I think we need to take a step back and understand that very few players have the type of talent that Love possessed.

Aneyas isn't going to be Love for us. He can be a Kyren Williams. Is he going to consistently threaten to break a 98 yard house call? Probably not. But like Kyren, Aneyas is a jack of all trades back. He's good catching it, blocking and has quality balance and makes plays after contact.

I certainly try to put Osborne in position, because he can make those house calls like Price and Love could.

Ibirogba is the 2nd highest rated player in the portal currently with a 95 rating.

I know Nick Marsh is a big name swirling around. He's rated a 94. Him or Omarion Miller would be a great get.

I think we need to bring in a guy like Ibirogba plus another quality DT and then maybe an underclassmen. We lose Onye, Dawson and Rubio all who played a lot this year. It’s a long season we can’t expect Hinish or anyone else to be healthy all year. You get 1-2 injuries on the DL your playing with fire. Burgess should be ready to play but he’s going to be a tweener. You got Hinish, Hughes, Mullins. Hinish is good in certain situations but we are trying to win a title.

Williams 100m time 11.21. What are you imagining that translates to for 40 yd time? He is a nice versatile back, but won't be the focal point of opponent's defenses. Carr's success this year was very much a product of the game breaking threat that Love/Price presented.

Can ND legitimately pull Marsh? He’s an underclassmen & ”attends” MSU so I can’t imagine ND admissions being impressed w/ whatever credits he has to transfer. He’d be a great one year rental as I’m sure he wants his Junior season to be his last before declaring but would this be the most lax we’ve ever seen admissions regarding an undergrad transfer?

On the flip side, maybe ND athletic administration, boosters & the powers that be are so pissed about the CFP snub that they go “all in” this year knowing it may be their last best chance w/ this roster & this coaching staff?

The paid sites are including him in their transfer target articles, I don't believe they would be doing this if there was doubt that ND could/would pursue him or get him into school.

I say all of this realizing that there's not the same amount of insider information as in the past, so I guess it is still possible.

Who cares?
He might not be a target for ND, but Baugh is going to be a top RB next year wherever he goes. All kinds of talent there. I would hate to destroy the RB room that we have and what’s coming in this year, but Baugh would be a huge pickup.

I want to know how that can be enforced....

OK, I didn't get the starting spot in April, so, in May after the semester ends, I apply to X school, and am accepted. The coaches talk to me, now a student there, and say come play football, so I do.

I get that they want to limit the madness, but not allowing for transfers after the school year ends is stupidity.

He ran close to that as a 9th grader and ran 11.01 as a 10th grader but didn't run as much as an upperclassmen. He's run a 4.46 hand timed and will probably run a respectable 40 (sub 4.54) at the combine when it's his time due to the extensive training just for that event.

So I would venture to guess that Leavitt is the leader in the clubhouse to be the Miami QB when they visit South Bend next fall?

I agree with this. I like the Kyren comp for Williams.

IF a game breaker RB enters the portal, I think ND needs to go after him. I think back to Jahmyr Gibbs to Bama or Judkins to OSU. I like ND's RB depth, but it's not battle tested, it's young, and it's unknown if there is the next J Love or even Price for that matter in the room. ND's offense needed Love and Price to bail them out often enough that I'm, at the very least, in "wait and see mode" for how it all looks next season. As Freeman says, "Question everything" and always look to "enhance."
