I just watched a strange but good (maybe great) movie called The Menu with Ralph Fiennes and Anya Taylor-Joy. Great acting and drama with several plot twists. Fiennes' character is a nutjob, but interesting. Definitely worth a watch.
Love that movie. Anya Taylor-Joy is my favorite actress. She's the only actress I go out of my way to see her work. If you liked The Menu, you might enjoy another Anya Taylor-Joy movie, Last Night in Soho.

Loved that movie! Fiennes is always so good. Nicholas Hoult was great too.

Make it an Anya Taylor-Joy marathon and watch The Witch too!

Absolutely. The Northman too, she's the female lead.
Totally forgot she was in that one. I enjoyed the Northman in theaters as a visual spectacle, but I have a feeling it wouldn't hold up upon rewatch.

Eggars must have a thing for her because she was also supposed to play Lily Rose Depp's character in Nosferatu until she had to drop out.

Yeah, he clearly likes her quite a bit. She's a great actress, I've enjoyed everything I've seen her in even down to smaller roles like Peaky Blinders.

Watched Die Hard for the 50th time last night,… society peaked in the late 80s,… change my mind
Great movie. Classic.

I just watched this movie called "where the crawdads sing" pretty good movie to watch with a girlfriend/wife (or solo like me lol) and it definitely threw me at the end.

He's one of if not the MOST underrated/under appreciated actors ever I feel. I will check this out.

Alright don't give me any shit but I have never seen this. I'm going to here in a bit because I just watched the trailer for it and saw Nicole Kidman nipples. YES PLEASE
If that rings your bell, watch Cold Mountain. Fast forward to late in the movie. The scene where her husband (Jude Law) is hiding in a cabin and she goes there to meet him. One of the great "ass" scenes in cinematic history.

watched my favorite Christmas movie

Eyes Wide Shut

Maybe my favorite lighting in an overall movie all time... I mean the Christmas party lights at the beginning alone. People talk up Barry Lyndon's use of real world lighting all the time but I think Eyes Wide Shut is a true set and lighting masterpiece.

Also Nicole Kidman in that movie with her natural curly hair is an all-time smoke show. And then they had the nerve to wreck my life by putting her in horn-rimmed glasses.

Me watching that movie as a senior in high school:

Just watched it last night for the first time. I rewinded it in several spots on more than one occasion. Perhaps a pause or two as well. 🤤

Also I absolutely agree with the lighting. I thought it was great.

Rewatched Vision Quest and The Family Man.

We watched Die Hard the weekend after Thanksgiving. Always great stuff.

I recently rewatched Family Man as well. I always had a crush on Tia Leoni. She reminds me of my first wife.

Vision Quest is one of those iconic movies from my youth that I would think didn’t hold up. Like The Last Starfighter or Enemy Mine.

I thought Tea Leoni was great in that movie. She looked great, too. That was peak Nick Cage time. He was making movies and spending more money that he was making.

Vision Quest and All The Right Moves were my first sports movies as a kid. There haven't been too many mainstream wrestling movies other than Vision Quest.
