Can anyone DM a link to non ND related talking heads who are supporting us? Brady Quinn made a great point but he’s gonna be written off as “well it’s Notre Dame he’s biased.” Is there anyone who doesn’t have ties to ND that’s supporting us whose voice can be seen more “objectively”

I know people don’t like him, but Jason Whitlock, who has been a ND basher in the past, has been pretty pro ND on this issue.

There’s way more. He’s been surprisingly active in defense of ND the last few days, taking on the Skip Bayless types even.

Thanks! Anyone else keep them coming if there’s anyone else. Despite Brady Quinn coming up with the best & most well thought out reasoning won’t be taken seriously.

The thing with Whitlock is you have to be...highly selective about what you listen to with him lol. He'll veer off into la la land quickly. Just a heads up for anyone who isn't aware. He has supported ND on this issue, so I'll take the support though.

You learn an awful lot about people when the topic of Notre Dame comes up. Otherwise fairly objective people start foaming at the mouth snd reacting like a vampire to a Crucifix or Garlic. It's most common with Boomers and Gen X.

When Notre Dame is struggling or average, they happily do segments where they wax poetic about how Notre Dame is a bucket list trip and used to be great and while it would be awesome if ND was back on top..it just won't happen. Then they'll probably talk about some old ND/Miami, ND/FSU, ND/USC game.

When Notre Dame *is* good. They start spazzing out. It's a tale as old as time. Join a conference! Too slow! Quit living in the past! Overrated! Entitled! Arrogant!

I'm sitting in my office thinking "brother i think you need therapy"
Yeah, this is why I'm glad we're hated again. It means we're feared and dangerous again. It made me sick we were sort of beloved last year. And this hate is different from the hate we got just being associated with Brian Kelly. This has broken people.

I don't want to sound delusional, but I think a small factor that played into us getting excluded was that the SEC people viewed as a legitimate threat to them in a way they just don't with Miami. I won't say that's a main factor though, it still came down to money and conference politics, but us being legit threat to win it all sure didn't help our case. I think when we killed off UGA last year in the Sugar Bowl that put the CFB world on notice.

I just wish we would be hated for the right reasons. Be hated the way Bama is hated, the way the Dodgers are hated, the way the Chiefs are hated. Right now the narrative is hating us because we didn’t want to play in the Pop Tart Bowl. A game that was mocked for the last two years all of the sudden is like turning down the rose bowl in the 90’s

I find it very interesting that most former players/coaches think that ND should have been in and got screwed while "journos" like Ari, Feldman, and Finebaum all think they should have been out.
I listened to the Audible reaction show and Feldman was pro-Miami but thought ND got screwed and that Bama should have been out.

It should also be mentioned that Feldman wrote a book about the Canes... so take that fwiw.

They don't hate us again because we turned down the Pop-Tart Bowl.

They hate us for of the reasons they have always hated us, plus out of fear that we are back. They saw what happened last year. We kicked their asses and robbed their bank.

And now, we are dropping a massive shit on their carpet by refusing to remain silent.

ESPN is scared. ESPN is directing employees to hate to make others hate. Clowns like Wasserman and Feinbaum farm that engagement. It’s pretty simple. It all stems from fear that ND is about the to blow up this fucking apple cart with a hellfire missile

Mainly they’re hating us because of that narrative that the morons at ESPN are pushing. I do find it funny that we have more support for our position from CBS & Fox. Two networks that we do not have ties to like NBC. Things that make critical thinkers see things clearly & things that the masses of stupid people who watch espn ignore.

The CFP (really the cabal behind it) wanted Miami/ND to be at the forefront of everyone's mind, when in reality they were performing their black magic to shoehorn Bama into the playoff. It was a diversionary tactic from the very beginning. It was never about Miami vs. ND, but it should have been about Miami AND ND. Every single media member either took the bait or toed the line. Mission accomplished.

This but also they used NDs brand as a pawn to generate buzz and internet rage throughout the whole process. Everything about the way this was handled by the committee, ACC, and possibly SEC behind the scenes, is a slap in the dick and I get the sense ND is done playing games.

Orlovsky has been very pro Notre Dame over Alabama since the selection

This is not a well known talking head but he has some interesting facts about new ESPN conference payout for next year.
