One issue with MF seems to be that he doesn't take command as against his coordinators. Why are we throwing 30 times in the Miami game with a new QB and the RBs we have? Why are we changing the defensive scheme? The coaching failures this season had disastrous consequences. The front-loading of the schedule was bad, and not MF's fault, but I hope he takes control a little more, and earlier in the season.

I don't think it's fair to criticize MF for how Denbrock handled Carr and the offense week 1 on the road, when we saw vast improvements throughout the season. I didn't have an issue with throwing the ball 30 time against a solid front on a day when our OL wasn't at its best, and we couldn't move the ball on the ground. I DID have a major issue with the short yardage throws, RPOs, screens that weren't successful and were holding Carr back. Once he started attacking Miami in the intermediate parts of the field we got the offense rolling.

It may have made more sense to ask why Marcus didn't get more involved with the RZ/Short yardage playcalling (i.e. rolling Carr out so much on 3rd/4th and short) instead of just playing fuck you football and RTFB.

I sadly won't be able to make it to South Bend Nov 7th for hopefully the ass kicking coming Miami's way, but please to whoever does attend it is on sight with this clown if he decides to travel to it.
