Simple response… accept pop tarts. 24 hours before we need to go there we demand a change to new broadcast as ND will no longer willingly be involved in espns corruption.

Espn and its employees are no longer allowed on nds campus, and ND employees will no longer do any interviews or publications with espn.

Hell I’d file restraining order on espn

If the goal is to win championships then join the big ten and enjoy the benefits of such. Independence to play bullshit games throughout the season for some "its our identity" mantra is dumb. I don't understand why people are so hung up about it. Give me a season full of marquee games, rather then the garbage we've been playing.
Never join one of these corrupt institutions. Work to burn them down from the outside instead.

SEC gets 20 million off the bat for 5 teams making it, and will get 12 million more when Ole Miss kicks the crap out of Tulane (again), OK/Bama winner, and Georgia being in quarterfinals

Shit ain’t changing anytime soon when SEC can distribute 28 million to their teams just for getting into playoffs. Porky pig (Hunter commissioner loser) will take that easy money for Arkansas and give himself a raise. The conference AD’s have no incentive to change the system. Notre Dame is at a disadvantage despite what Pete thinks

Notre Dame got hosed. It should’ve been Miami, Notre Dame IN, Bama OUT.

I’m a canes fan, and I believe Miami should be in over both other teams, but the committee should’ve done that last week and avoided additional controversy.

Looking forward to next years game.

sorry you guys don’t get to watch your team in the playoffs
I have absolutely zero qualms with Miami being in over ND (Despite that I think ND is right now better). To me it's the Committee clearly rigging this for Greg Sankey and the SEC is what has me fuming.

It wasn’t the final nail in the coffin, but in hindsight, this was all because of the Alabama/ND flip last week after their “gritty” win over Auburn.

Clearly the committee was trying to protect Alabama. Just hard to believe it was going to be this egregious, especially after dropping BYU after a similar loss and saying last week ND and Bama were neck and neck.
Turns out they didn’t even need to protect them since they didn’t move down after getting blown the fuck out.

Bama got blown out twice and made the playoff. That’s asinine. No team should be able to lose like they did, let alone twice and still get in.

I also fully believe that if Bama went 10-2 and FSU went 10-2 with the same two losses Miami had, Bama would be in and not FSU.

Two years in a row the big controversy revolves around an ACC team being shoe horned into the playoff. They’re more powerful than you’d think because of where their games are broadcast

After last night's results I thought the fairest thing was Miami #9 and ND #10. Bama's inclusion where they don't get punished for their struggles or losing to Florida State is simply scripted corruption.

16 team playoffs gonna do the same thing when they give 8 auto bids to Sec/b1g, and 5 auto bids to the jv conferences. There's only going to be 3 at large remaining.

Join the big ten and enjoy an auto bid. Along with all the cash.

I don’t even know who to root for. I can’t stomach IU winning a football championship in my lifetime before ND. Maybe Oregon? Or at this point another OSU win doesn’t really matter I guess.

But Miami and the entire SEC need to get fucked
TTU. Not that they have an actual shot.

Sorry you only get to watch one playoff game.

You will get the living fucking shit kicked out of you.

The media, who has zero care for your existence, but used it to promote you for their own personal gain, will throw you away like a piece of garbage, and turn the temp up on “why did we let them in” talking points since your job as a useful idiot is complete.

You will still wear flat bill hats and the world will continue spinning.

Have a nice day.

Wonder why Arkansas’s AD/playoff committee chairman would what the SEC to get that kind of money?

Looking briefly at the profiles of the selection committee - a ton of SEC ties and ACC ties, no ND from what I could see. I mean, what did we expect?

The CFB that I knew and loved is dead right now. This shit is too corrupt and you can’t crown an honest champion when teams as strong as ND are being left out and teams like Bama, Tulane, and JMU are being placed in.

Legit not watching any of the playoff games this year. I couldn’t care less and this won’t change - none of what happens from here on out matters. Maybe I’ll check the scores after, but definitely won’t be watching.

Swarbrick is the reason our schedule is what it is and our arrangement with the ACC is what it is.
I certainly don't claim to know all the details or even close, but at least it felt like he was always out there finagling trying to make deals and get us the best outcome. If nothing else, we have heard from so many people these days, but not a lot from Bevacqua. Have to think Swarbrick would have more sway.
I guess it is just 100% coincidence that now that he is gone we get completely fucked(not being facetious it certainly could be the case that it is just chance)

I've never been more firmly convicted that ND needs to stay Indep. and push every one else's shit in from here until the end of time. Conferences want a piece of ND's pie. The bottom feeders want to suckle off the teet. Screw them all!

I think the general expectation was some SEC/ACC homerism but not the committee completely bending over backwards to make it happen, which really is what they had to do.

Yeah, the autobids need to be 100% gone and go with straight BCS style system. Short of that, nothing is fixed because the root of the problem is these "mega" conferences where there isn't enough crossplay.

He’s right, both ND and Miami should be in, and Bama who got boat raced in 2 games should be out.
I mean they lost to Lville and SMU isnt that game over? After a while the win over us and our loss to them loses its significance, doesn't it? As the season evolves, other bigger developments can supplant it, especially when it was 100 days ago with a first time starter at qb. When you lose two games to mediocre opponents maybe your chances should disappear. As fans they had to think that was the case. If we beat Miami and then lost to say NC State and Boise State, I'd think we would be cooked too. I'm not really sure why Miami is particularly deserving.
