On the one hand, I legitimately think Miami is better than Bama and probably deserve to be in over Alabama. Then, I think about their fanbase, their media people, and their coach for the past 5 weeks and I think, "roll, Tide, roll!"

They and their dumb conference deserve to be left out. Their enemy wasn't ND. Their common enemy was the SEC, and Miami ahead the additional enemy of their own conference, which FAFO'd with the tiebreaker rules.

But instead of going to kumon or mathnasium to get help walking through the logic, they listened to morons like Ari Wasserman and Dan LeBatard, a collective group that would need to gain 3 standard deviations on the IQ scale in order to reach "Florida Man" levels of common sense and intelligence.

It's humorous their common refrain is "why even play the games." Well if only the first game really counts, why play the rest of the games? Miami does seem to think the season ends September 30th as their play dips every year starting October 1st.

The SECCG is a good example of how a full season can change a team. Bama squeaked out a win over UGA at Athens and then was hot for a while. But they've played like shit the last month. Their last 4 games including today they're 2-2 with their 2 wins being over an FCS school and a bad win gutsy win and good data point over Auburn in the Iron Bowl.
