Hawaii isn't going to schedule a game for this weekend in case they're in the MW championship game.

Would have to be week zero and we'd only get 1 week off instead of 2 throughout the season.
The rule is that you play against or under the sponsorship of Hawaii. What that means isn't exactly clear, but that seems to be the idea behind the championship week 13th game.

The hard part seemed to be the logistics of making a game in Hawaii happen on such short notice. If we're worried about another scenario like this season taking place in the future, it might be worth it to kind of set up all the necessary logistical stuff beforehand every year and then set up a game or not depending on what our outlook is.

Also, technically the rule could be used for a game in Puerto Rico as well. Playing in an area without any real football infrastructure presents its own problems, but it could be easier and cheaper than Hawaii in some aspects.

The rule is an incentive to get other teams to schedule games all the way out in Hawaii. Normally you have 13 weeks to play 12 games. 14 weeks if you play week 0. Scheduling a game at Hawaii lets you schedule 13 games in 14 weeks. Championship weekend would be a 15th week but the only option who would schedule a game ahead of time is someone not eligible to be in a conference championship game. Which right now is only UCONN.

The juice just isn’t worth the squeeze.

Boise helping us with Madsen only, we had 4 ints and Madsen only had 215 yards passing. Gaines had 39 yards rushing

Unfortunately Boise likely still isn’t ranked even with a win so unclear if this even helps us, could only hurt with a loss

It will very marginally help our SOS I suppose and since Yurachek specifically shouted that out as something that could affect the rankings of two idle teams, I guess any little bit helps. Glad the Rebs could make such a noble sacrifice for a worthy cause lol.

UNLV’s got it down to one score after Boise blew a walk in touchdown on fourth down by having a receiver fall. How many stupid little things like that have gone wrong in a million games for ND this year?

Tulane making the cfbpo might be why cfb gets destroyed in the near future. Tulane and the mountain west, the rest of the babysitter schools should have their own cfbpo. If we don't make it its an abomination to cfb in general

So USC top 20 team that we dominated and pushed them around more than anyone else this year.

Navy top 25 with some respectable wins. We dominated them like no other team has since we played the last year.

Boise State got beatdown by us with their QB playing.

Pitt got manhandled

Stanford after a huge win and 4-1 at home gets destroyed. Up 42-3 in third quarter then bring in the scrubs.

NC State winning record and destroyed.

Arkansas held to its lowest point total as top 5 offense.

It's crazy they're not 11-2. Lost two games where the offense fell off a cliff because Madsen was out injured. How different does our resume looked if they're ranked #20?
Yeah, looks like they will close likely around 40th- 45th range in FPI. Probably won’t move the needle at all, but certainly better to the alternative of them losing tonight.

You would hope that the committee may factor in the Madsen injury to thier overall record, but it likely won’t matter much at all in the final decision between either ND vs Miami or ND vs Alabama.
