Yeah I mean it's very clear from Bama going to -3000 yesterday that they are leaking like a siv. There is no logic behind the SEC log jam at 6 through 9 but if we somehow get in (doubt it) I would love to be away from the Ohio State part of the bracket.

They made this move so that Bama doesn't get boxed out when they lose to Georgia.
Yep...and as long as TT handles biz....it should all be fine!

Sorry I missed your doubt it..haha

He mentioned the idle teams can move relative to things like strength of schedule based on the outcomes of the championship games.

Neither Miami or Notre Dame would be affected by these games am I right?

It’s not like Virginia beating Duke makes Miamis SOS stronger.

If ND ends up 10, I am very content. I think it would be fun to get another shot at A&M for the chance to play Indiana at a neutral site.

I guess we shall see what happens. If ND gets left out, ND can only blame themselves, but also....the committee will need to answer what suddenly changed with teams legit sitting at home doing nothing.

First thing I've heard that actually concerns me. Makes no sense and actually makes me suspicious that the plan was to leave us out all along and this has been a ratings game to keep eyeballs on this dog and pony show.
Yeah, same. I didn't like how coy he was answering that question. His "explanation" about how "impressive" blowing a 17 point lead having to eek out a win over a bad Auburn team with no coach makes zero sense and it's just to hide the real reason that they're just manipulating the standings to ensure Bama gets in. Zero trust they don't just randomly flip Miami over us. But when you lose 2 games you are at the mercy of this dog and pony show.

Let's also not forget, any future playoff format is entirely of the B1G and SEC's making. This fuckery is just going to get more egregious in the future.

Obviously a reference to OU’s SOR taking a hit if Bama gets blown out, right?

Auburn is not good but they are likely putting weight on the Iron Bowl rivalry won at Auburn.

I took his statement as if teams playing this week wins or losses effects teams not playing strength of schedule then those teams that sos is effected can be moved. Maybe hopeful hearing but that's how I took it. So do any of the championship games effect us or miami.

Miami moves up 2 spots not playing? We would riot.
Once byu loses they’ll gain one spot by default. It’s not far fetched then say when two teams are next to each other that h2h would pick the order. There’s two ways of looking at this, are they protecting Alabama or setting up ND?

Someone else made a good point though - if losing that game drops BYU, would losing to UGA also drop Bama? Especially if the debate between our two teams was "as intense as any the committee has faced"?

Is it possible to parlay playoff odds? Miami yes, ND no are definitely not independent and feels like insane value at +1000.

I guess it depends on how they lose? Alabama already beat them earlier in the year in Georgia

Both MIAMI and ND are getting fucked. Honestly, at this point the only reasonable explanation is corruption. This system will inevitably get dismantled through lawsuit. It simply cannot continue to decide who is in ad out with such transparent bias. It’s just really sad what has happened to this sport.

Why wait a week to switch ND and Miami? Neither team is playing this week. ND is in
I want to share your optimism, but if you think the head to head result is being talked about ad nasuem now. Give it another week

It’s going to take some guts for the committee to rank ND over Miami in the final ranking if BYU loses, and the final spot comes down to it.

No reason to rehash the debate. We all have heard it all already.
I just feel the pressure next Sunday will be insane and the voices will be loud against it if the final spot comes down to it, which seems like it will.

I mean you had the Secretary of State ending the White House cabinet meeting with it today for christ sake.

The dumbest part of this committee is I can think of better justifications for their actions in 2 minutes than the ones they give.

In what world is beating Auburn a better reasoning to vault Alabama than saying it was the A&M loss weakening our resume. Just incompetent.
