There's a REAL chance now that the best looking team in the nation is in a coin flip.
NOTHING has really gone right for us today. Dammit.
And two other things: a. FAN betting opinions have right around Zero relevance to the Committee, unless THEY are a bunch of bozos.
and b. The ENTIRETY of TV media is on a rampage pointing out every negative thing about us that they can. Hopefully THAT has no relevance either. We are very tightly at the mercy of how really good at assessing football that committee is and how little their prejudices might be.

AUBURN MUST WIN!…or it will come down to ND vs Miami and we don’t want that debate!
Alabama winning tonight guarantees them a spot regardless of next week.
Oklahoma is in…whether you like it or not - they beat Alabama - quality win which ND doesn’t have.
BYU is out unless they beat Tech next week.
Vandy and Texas won’t jump us.
If Bama wins, they will move up to 9 and it comes down to us vs Miami - and head-to-head will matter, unfortunately.

Why would Alabama move up for beating a team with a losing record?
Does a loss in the SEC championship not ding them at all? Maybe they’d at least stay at 10

I think Miami could go ahead of ND and we both go ahead of the Sooners.
The problem with the sooners bid is it is obvious they are next to zero chance of winning it all whereas OSU 50%, Georgia 20%, ND is maybe a 15% chance, Miami a 15% chance, Texas A&M 15%, Tech, 5%. (I realise that is a bigly amount of total percentage but that's how it seems to me).

We really don't know. It didn't drop SMU out last year.

If Bama wins tonight they are in and the SEC championship game only matters for seeding.
We are the biggest Texas Tech fans in the world next weekend. I still think that BYU winning is the only way we get left out.
Assuming Bama wins, yes.
Still a chance for Miami to get in to the ccg, but Va must lose.

In my opinion which doesn't mean much but we are closer to 8 than we are to 10 at this moment. We play well and how OU looked that is what puts us in 8th this next ranking. Also helps committee help keep us in after conference championship week. Giving us a little wiggle room on last rankings

Only bad luck was that A&M was a paper tiger. Everything else has been favorites taking care of business.
I would love for us to make the playoffs. I think we could go on a run. But that is in retrospect a killer loss.
