They have two bad losses and went to overtime against Kentucky and Miss StateTexas with 3 top 10 wins, a win over a common opponent could make things nervous.

ND lost two games by four points. But before the debate ensues, ND must TCB at Palo Alto. I know, I know…but they still need to do it. I trust MF to motivate them that they need to be at their bestHonestly what even is our argument if A&M loses by 10 here? Two close losses to playoff bubble teams and a few wins against t-25 bubble teams?
No it doesn’t. It comes down to BYU beating TTU and Bama beating Georgia. We would still have a good argument against TTU if they lose the B12CG. And this only applies if Oregon, Bama, Oklahoma all win tomorrow. Michigan is a nonfactor.Boys this comes down to Michigan and BYU losing. End of story.
9-3 is 9-3 they shouldnt see any playoffsIs Texas not a concern at all?
I mean if they lose by two scores here then outside of beating us, their schedule is a joke. And then the argument for us is having played them close and the argument for them is having beaten us and it sure looks like a bit of a circle jerk.A&M is a bubble team now?

Exactly... Irish just need to take care of Stanford tomorrow night like they did Syracuse. We're not getting left out because of teams behind us passing us on eye test. We're getting left out only if autobids break the wrong way.
What's Oregon's argument? What's Ole Miss's argument? Our argument is that we're one of the 8 or 10 or whatever best teams.Honestly what even is our argument if A&M loses by 10 here? Two close losses to playoff bubble teams and a few wins against t-25 bubble teams?
Sure, and to be super clear I agree with that. I want us to make the playoffs because I believe we can win the playoffs. What's Oregon's argument? What's Ole Miss's argument? Our argument is that we're one of the 8 or 10 or whatever best teams.
Why is Oregon's resume better?Sure, and to be super clear I agree with that. I want us to make the playoffs because I believe we can win the playoffs.
I’m just not sure we have one of the ten best resumes in the country this year. At the very least, I can see the arguments for other teams, especially if Miami blows Pitts doors off tomorrow.
And at this rate, I expect Miami to blow the doors off Pitt tomorrow. That’s all the committee will need regarding those two teams but doesn’t mean ND is dead.Sure, and to be super clear I agree with that. I want us to make the playoffs because I believe we can win the playoffs.

Refs didn’t throw the ball to the other team twice. That was Marcel Reed. The former Heisman candidate.has every call gone against atm today? UT must be perfect little lads
Assuming they beat Washington they have one loss, not two, against a better team than any of the teams we lost to and wins against USC and Washington which are as good as any of ours. Seems like an easy argument for the committee. Why is Oregon's resume better?
We both beat USC. They've played one playoff-level team, and lost to them. We've played two playoff-level teams, and lost to them. (And we didn't lose to either of those teams by 10 at home.) They are hyped because they beat PSU, based on PSU's preseason ranking.Assuming they beat Washington they have one loss, not two, against a better team than any of the teams we lost to and wins against USC and Washington which are as good as any of ours. I mean look I ultimately agree we should still be in but you’re kidding yourself if you think it can’t look a lot less comfortable after this weekend than it looked going in. This is a seriously unimpressive A&M squad that happened to have one of the softest SEC schedules in a generation (and barely squeaked out wins against dog shit teams like Arkansas and South Carolina in the process). We both beat USC. Yeah, okay, but they're 11-1. Sagarin has them 6th and 5-0 vs. the top 30. They aren't "seriously unimpressive."I mean look I ultimately agree we should still be in but you’re kidding yourself if you think it can’t look a lot less comfortable after this weekend than it looked going in. I agree. However, they’ll push hard on playing OSU in the Shoe close in the opener & then upending the only undefeated SEC team (who had been flirting w/ disaster for weeks…Arkansas, South Carolina, etc). They're not putting in a Texas team that lost to a 3-8 Florida team and lost 35-10 to Georgia. If Texas beat Florida, it'd be a different story.
SC, Pitt are ranked wins. Navy will be a ranked win after yesterday. If ND can beat Stanford comfortably, they should be fine.I’m worried discussions will start happening on who did we beat? I’m worried the SEC/ESPN media machine will pull for Texas
It had them at 6th when they were undefeated, and their top 30 wins include us and a handful of teams sitting near 30 (LSU, Auburn, Missouri, South Carolina) at least three of whom are dogs tomorrow. They’re going to drop significantly.Yeah, okay, but they're 11-1. Sagarin has them 6th and 5-0 vs. the top 30. They aren't "seriously unimpressive."
