Everything they do with KVA they can do with Sneed. KVA is just consistently better at it. But Sneed can provide at times as good or better of the same skillset.
That's true but only when KVA is playing as the Will, the problem is when KVA spells Bowen as the Mike. The other LB's that get regular play are Will's and no real Mike's.

KVA almost never spells Bowen at the MIKE in non garbage situations

Wonder if they’ll pull Preston Zinter back over from the DL room as a LB depth piece or if the staff will elevate one/two of the younger guys.

Sucks. Obviously would be a big loss. But hopefully this is where we can feel the effect of some of our deeper recruiting classes lately.

Next man up. We still have some guys who can make plays.

And, if the defense does take a step back, we finally have an offense capable of dropping 30-40+ against virtually anyone.

If he's out for the season it would be a blow, but LB is one of the deepest areas on this team. I think next man up definitely applies here.

Journalism at its finest.
I'm wondering if Freeman doesn't have some policy where they've asked the talking heads not to pry about injuries post game, or in some cases maybe to stay away from certain players to avoid giving any news to opposing teams? My guess is Freeman probably addresses it Monday, but if not you have to think they're trying not to give anything away.

Craig, Traore and Evans all had ACL injuries and were ready by the next season. It used to be a 1 year recovery but with technology now I’ve seen guys back within 6 months.
Craig and Traore suffered their injuries in September, so they had a good 2+ months on this presumed KVA injury.

Even Evans had a few weeks on KVA.

Again, that's assuming the worst. I'm not sure that's the case.

If they believe it was an ACL tear, would the player normally be in a boot of some kind? What gives me some hope that it isnt a fullblown tear is that he was not in any type of boot. At least not from the TV copy I saw.

Sampson said he heard from sources that it was "bad" and that he is likely out for the rest of the season (including playoffs). No details about the injury itself though.

Feel terrible for the kid

With that said, this is a way less impactful injury than losing Mills last year considering the depth at the position

Yep and it also depends on the severity. We’ll probably hear something more definitive later this week.

I rewatched just to watch KVA and he is a stud. He's everywhere. It's like the predator out there. Even if he doesn't make the tackle, he disrupts the play. Sadly, this will be a huge loss. A chance for someone else to step up.
