Yea, I would agree with you on that point. I think him and the OL Brown really want to be at PSU but are just reassuring themselves. This also could depend on who PSU hires obviously. On the flip side though, a lot of their other switches haven't "officially" decommitted. Some have just taken visits then switched their commitments without officially decommitting.

If Poindexter goes to Va Tech with Franklin I would think he’ll go there or see who PSU hires

Terry Smith (CB), Knowles, Poindexter (S) will all be heavily sought after.

Nothing against the kid, he’s definitely talented, but our db class is loaded. No sour grapes if he doesn’t pick ND and I’d be fine taking him but a large part of me wishes this potential late addition was Vallejo and not Seig.
Agreed. He'd be the 6th outta 6 with the current group. Looks like a really good athlete but played mainly rb. And he'd compete with classmates that are 4-6" bigger and likely just as athletic. Tough sell.

we've come a long way in our DB recruiting to be ok with this kid sticking with them or going elsewhere.

I get ur point but i wouldnt say id be ok with him sticking with psu lol. Fuck them. Go to wvu or something
I have no inside info, but this is what I believe is happening. He probably grew up a PSU fan and always wanted to go there, but he has a close relationship with Franklin. Because of their close relationship, he's sad that PSU let Franklin go and is a bit confused, but he won't decommit because he's from PA and grew up a PSU fan.

Totally good with Vallejo over Sieg as well. Is there talk of Vallejo decommitting from Michigan? And same, I'm okay with ND not signing Sieg.

As far as the competition, I'm not sure Reddish is better than Sieg

Same height, ranked far lower. Unless Reddish is undervalued at this point (certainly possible), I'd be happy to add Sieg, especially in the NIL and transfer portal era.

I think Seig is more worried about all 6'3" of JO'B

Totally agree with that, lol

Joey is at the top of our DB group, whereas Reddish is closer to the bottom. I was thinking of Sieg as shoring up more of the middle to lower end of our DB recruits.

So he came back this Sunday for an official? Is that correct wasn’t he at Pitt this weekend?

He's better at playing on the defensive side of the ball. Sieg has been a star on the offensive side of the ball and has much more notoriety as a runner at the prep level as opposed to the defensive side. I think he finished up around 8,000 career rushing yards.

Didn't know the kid played with labrum injury in his throwing arm since the 4th game of the season! Wow😳😳 kid has some stones.

**Sieg finished his career as the WPIAL all-time leader in offensive yardage (passing and rushing) with 12,592 yards. He completed 273 of 491 passes for 4,634 yards and 59 touchdowns. He ran for 7,958 yards on 842 carries (9.5-yard average) and 131 touchdowns.**

Fort Cherry lost to a team (Laurel) from my hometown, all I can tell you guys is.....It's the lowest class in the WPIAL. So low, if you have a kid willing to play football he is on the team. That being said, sometimes these 1A kids pop like Tyler Boyd or Terrell Pryor. But I worry about the competition, as I'd take a 3 star Knapp (5/6A Ga) over a 4 star WPIAL kid from a 1A school most days of the week.

08 incoming w the hot take “Gotta throw a bag at him and tell him he’ll play both O and D.”

He did visit, but maybe it wasn't an OV? I could see him wanting to save the OVs for after his season when he is more likely able to stay the whole 48 hours and get more time with the coaches.

It was an unofficial because he wasn’t here long enough to be an OV.

Pitt and WVU are selling him on both ways. IU and ND is DB only.
