2 loss Ole Miss with 2 close road losses is absolutely not a guarantee to be behind us. We want 0 - 1 loss SEC teams and 3+ loss SEC teams. 2 loss teams are our enemy.

My thought is that I think Oklahoma is a 3 loss team regardless. So I'd rather get Ole Miss in "don't screw up" territory now. Because history suggests that they might screw up.

Nah. Definitely want OU to win. Likely drops Ole Miss behind us and they simply don't have any other games this year that are really threatening. Whereas OU can win today and they still have 4 really tough games moving forward with Alabama, Tennessee, LSU and Missouri. Very likely they drop another 2 games out of those 4, at least.

I just want to get OU the eff outta there. The whole bird in a hand thing. There is no guarantee ole miss drops. Plus, hoping OU does some damage to some of those other teams after dropping behind us. If OU wins, I could totally see both being ranked ahead of us.

Their offense is simply not good enough and their defense is elite to the point it can paper over that against good teams.

True. But I think the odds of OU winning out vs. Bama, Tennessee, Missouri and LSU are far lower than Ole Miss winning out vs. South Carolina, Florida, the Citadel and Mississippi State, all of which are at home, except the Egg Bowl.
