unfortunately A&M is not truly the #6 team in America. Simply aren't that good.
While I agree wholeheartedly with this, at this point we need them to keep winning and allow the SEC bias take care of the rest.

Texas Tech at 5 and Missouri at 7 - yeah SP+ is probably not the best this early in the season.

"Congrats to MAINE MARITIME, back in 766th after a 25 point loss to No. 735 Keystone" LMAO

Looking at the polls, 4 teams ahead of us lost. Two top 10 teams with bad losses.

Another is currently down big in the 4th quarter.

Is it realistic that we move up 5 spots?

Weekends like this are why I don't worry about "what needs to happen" the rest of the year. All that we need to have happen is ND to 1-0, 7 more times. If we get to 10 wins I'm confident enough carnage will happen around us to allow us to get in.

Uhhhhhh UVA? 5 - 1 with this left:

- Wash St, UNC, Cal, Wake, Duke, Va Tech

Probably ACCs best chance of a 1 loss team facing Miami in the ACC Championship

Anyone think they pull the trigger and put ND in the top 10? They should show some balls.

I appreciate McMurphy's ballot but I'll be pleasantly surprised if Texas and Penn State are not ranked ahead of us in the overall polls. Will be curious to see the justifications for that.

Texas probably will be but PSU will not be ranked. You simply can’t make it to week 6 and not beat a single p4 team

2 Bid ACC in the style of SMU is potentially a problem:

- Georgia Tech is undefeated with a joke of an ACC schedule left. UVA one loss with the same as posted above. Georgia Tech of course has Georgia too. Duke hosts both of them. Go Blue Devils.

The Big 12s 2 bid chances will be tested these next two weeks. Utah facing ASU and BYU. Arizona State facing Utah and Texas Tech. Chaos results preferable there.

Neither of those teams has any business being anywhere near the playoffs. But would help if we smack around NC State, Pitt, Syracuse.

Penn State has no business being ranked
Neither does Texas, quite frankly. Sure, neither of their losses are as bad as PSU but they also haven't beaten a P4 team yet this year and have looked rough even in their cupcake wins.

There is absolutely no sane way you could rank Oregon above Miami right now. OSU I could see as they are the defending champs, but Miami has, without a doubt the best body of work so far.

Oregon has beaten Montana St., a terrible Oklahoma St, Northwestern, a terrible Oregon St, and a bad Penn St. team who just lost to a terrible UCLA.

How could you possibly rank them above a dominant Miami team?
