Idk how to grab posts from other threads but Cack suggested a thread for cool courthouses. I am a sucker for old courthouses. The newer ones lack the charm.

I'll start with the Stutsman County Courthouse in Jamestown, North Dakota. They built a new one like 30-40 years ago but they did bring the old one out of retirement for a trial during covid for spacing reasons. It is the oldest courthouse in the state as well.

The Decatur County courthouse in Greensburg, Indiana, has a mulberry tree growing out of the bell tower. They first noticed this, and a few other sprigs back in 1870.

Think it used to be a bank. Halloween 2012 I was on the record there and I shit you not kept having to stop with a bone saw kicking on in the coroners office directly above the judge’s bench.

It's actually very simple. Just hit the quote button and the post you quoted carries anywhere on the forum. It'll insert in any other thread just as it would in the thread you quoted it from.

A friend of mine spent Memorial Day/race weekend in the Marion County lock up two years in a row. Lol. He’s an idiot.

That must be the worst packed in like sardines with a bunch of drunk/sweaty race fans. Couldn’t post bail either until the Tuesday after the holiday.

Was a juror for a pedo trial years ago. Evidence was strong. Took less than 5 minutes to find the bastard guilty.

Not sure how long ago or which of the courts you were in. But something has been buzzing or rattling in the superior courts HVAC system all summer and it makes me want to stroke out whenever I am sitting in there.

Be a year ago last week of october. And it was in circuit court. The state ruled last week on the guy that was convicted that his sentence was not too harsh and upheld sentencing. He got 65 years for the murder and 20 for being a habitual offender as this was his 3rd violent felony
