Not once did i say, Obama was at fault for Trump being in the Suite C atmosphere. It's Obama's fault for signing the Smith-Mundt Act In 2012, and allowing our media to lie to you simple people daily, without any repercussion.
Right. It’s Obama’s fault. Cool.

That started happening way before Obama and it was Reagan's fault, but go off queen

The Smith-Mundt Act modernization is very interesting though. I'll give him that. The US was losing a propaganda battle on its own soil. It's not why the media is fucked up here at all but it's a time capsule of when ISIS and al-Qaeda were present online. Now they're just present wherever Israel and the US decide to overthrow a leader, for some crazy reason.

I have no empathy for those that start a fight and cry when the shepherd comes for the beat down. The palistinians did not act civil, and now everyone wants to see what It's like to have islamismism, communist, and socialism, that everyone in our country will pay for.
I'm not arguing with you about this subject. If you are brainwashed. Go on with yourself, and see what our country becomes.

You do understand that the state of Israel was founded by terrorist organizations and individuals who engaged in terrorism right?

“In the pre-state period(1920s–1940s), Zionist paramilitaries such as the Irgun, Lehi, Haganah and Palmach engaged in violent campaigns against British authorities, Palestinian Arabs, and more moderate Jews to advance their political goals.”

I went to public state schools but thanks.
Circa spent the entire COVID lockdown period paroling around hospitals to conduct his own research. I think the horse dewormer wasn't strong enough for the brain worms.

Do you remember the genocide that Germany took part In? Or Italy- Benito Mussolini. He got elected because he promised that the buses would run regularly. He then allied with the Germans and Hitler. Do you think the Italians would have voted him in knowing he was the socialist he was?
NYC and their mayoral race can and wants to be the Benito of our times. Should we all agree that NYC Is being invaded by the Islamist's?

I take it you haven’t been to NY recently? I saw lots of Hasid not too many “Islamists” on my most recent trips.

I’m assuming you are unaware that small towns in conservative rural areas have been running publicly supported grocery stores for quite some time now. Also, military PX’s and commissary’s are government owned and run and seem to be pretty popular.

Never mind the fact that one of the most storied NFL franchises in history is owned by the public and many areas have publicly owned utilities.

I get it, lots of people in America think if something can’t be monetized in such a way so some asshole or group of assholes can make a shit ton of money that they can now pass along tax free to their deadbeat offspring it’s not worth pursuing, wasteful or will bring the downfall of American society.

Mussolini was a socialist? Is the socialist in the room with us now?

It's not even in the name of the party he started! You could had at least tried the "Hitler was a socialist!" line since it's in the name.

We're like a stones throw away from Circa and whoever would like to join him, from saying democracy is a failure because of North Korea (DPRK).

I put down Mexican American on my applications but my mom is of Irish/German background.

This is the dumbest “scandal” I’ve seen in some time and kind of proves that people are grasping at straws when it comes to Mamdani.

These attacks are particularly interesting/moronic coming from the Democrats considering he’s shown the power of the Bernie populist playbook when coupled with a younger, articulate messenger.

I'd love to see a 3rd option that can truly crash the party, but I just don't see it happening. There's too much money and power in the 2 party system, and if they have to they'll work together to squash upstarts. Anyone else that's tried in the past gets eliminated, or they're insignificant and doomed to failure anyway. The 2 party system is built to control the masses, and the powers that be don't like when outsiders crash the party. Trump was in that boat until he got too popular with the GOP base, then the party elite were forced to adopt to avoid getting ousted.

True but Elon has a hugely powerful tool in the form of Twitter/X. It will be nice to have a 3rd option of billionaires who don’t really care about the middle class.

No 3rd party will be viable until we have RCV.

Should have 2 or 3 more parties. Break MAGA off as they aren't traditional Republicans. Have this new America Part. And have the woke Dems make a 2nd party

No 3rd party will be viable until we have RCV.

Doesn't sound like it, looks more likely a 3rd party under RCV gets redistributed until they're on equal footing with the Democrats and GOP. Found this in a Hill article:

Ranked-choice voting is a confusing and convoluted method of voting that tries to force voters to rank multiple candidates for a single office. If one candidate secures a majority in the first round, that candidate wins. Otherwise, lower-ranked candidates’ votes are redistributed or thrown out until a winner emerges.

This system has resulted in thousands of discarded ballots, widespread voting errors, delayed election results, longer lines at polling places, suspect recounts and, consequently, diminished voter confidence.

We know that public trust in elections matters. This is why six states — Florida, Tennessee, South Dakota, Idaho, Kentucky and Montana — have banned ranked-choice voting over the last two years. Ranked-choice is approved at the statewide level only in Maine and Alaska. In both states, ranked-choice measures passed only after intense pressure and bankrolling from out-of-state left-wing special interest groups.

A statewide repeal effort of ranked-choice is underway in Alaska. It took only one statewide ranked-choice election for citizens to begin circulating petitions to get rid of the measure.

Alaskans’ reasons for rejecting ranked choice voting are numerous. To start, 11 percent of the ballots in Alaska in 2022 were “spoiled” due to voter confusion under ranked-choice — more than three times the normal rate. During the state’s special at-large congressional election, nearly 15,000 Alaskans had their ballots thrown out. This included more than 11,000 tossed because voters selected only one candidate without ranking any others. When that candidate was eliminated, their votes were eliminated as well.

To avoid this, ranked-choice tries to force voters to “vote against their conscience, or even vote for their opponent, to ensure that their ballot does not end up in a landfill.” To put it another way, ranked-choice manufactures phony majorities by coercing voters into ranking candidates they do not actually support.

Beyond confusion, voters can become frustrated and disillusioned when candidates with fewer first-choice votes prevail.
In the Alaska special election, although Republican candidates initially garnered 60 percent of the vote, the Democrat emerged as the winner.

Honestly that all seems pretty horrid. There's got to be a better way.

Well yes it's not an instant 3rd party button, but it opens up the option for people to vote for 3rd party candidates without "throwing away" their vote. If there was a moderate non MAGA republican running as a 3rd party candidate (say Romney for example) in 2024 with RCV I would have voted for him 1st, Kamala 2nd. Without RCV I have no option but to give my vote for Kamala even though I prefer Romney.

It's not confusing. Here are your 4 options. Rank them in order of how much you like them, or just vote for one person.

Australians, Canadians, and the Irish can all grasp the concept.
We know that public trust in elections matters. This is why six states — Florida, Tennessee, South Dakota, Idaho, Kentucky and Montana — have banned ranked-choice voting over the last two years. Hmmm what do all those states have in common? 🤔

By the losers.

This was their first election with RCV. Those numbers will come down as people become familiar with it.

This is a dumb way to frame the choice. If your wife gives your family 3 options for dinner you're not voting against your conscious if you rank Chipotle 2nd even though you don't love it just because you want to avoid sushi which you absolutely can't stand. Without RCV you vote for Skyline Chili, your lone vote is wasted because no one else wants that, and then you get no say in the choice between Chipotle and Sushi.

RCV builds plurality through compromise. Allows the most people possible to elect a candidate they can live with instead of an all or nothing choice in either direction.
Beyond confusion, voters can become frustrated and disillusioned when candidates with fewer first-choice votes prevail. In the Alaska special election, although Republican candidates initially garnered 60 percent of the vote, the Democrat emerged as the winner.
It's not the democrats fault that the republican candidates didn't appeal to each others share of the votes. Peltola had 40% after round 1, Palin had 31%, and Begich had 28%. If Palin and Begich voters had unanimously listed the other as their second choice Palin would have won the election. Meaning she would have won an election she would have lost outright without RCV.

That's not what happened though and Peltola picked up enough votes from Behich voters that preferred her over Palin that she won with 51.5% (vs Palin's 48%) in round 2.

This is exactly how RCV is supposed to work. Those Begich voters that hated Palin would have voted for Peltola to begin with without RCV. Instead they got to vote for a 3rd option while still preserving their ability to vote against Palin.

In any elections?
I think they do in the party leader elections? I know it's been seriously discussed and that Trudeau was elected on bringing it (lol). It would have actually allowed for us to have a viable 3rd party.

City of Toronto/Ontario/Canada don't do it.

You can't even spell opine correctly. Is ultimate freedom struggling to graduate high school? Is it knowing that someone who isn't even a resident of your country contributes more to the US economy than you?

Please stick it out and wrap up your education. I'd hate to see my tax dollars get wasted.
